According to a senior police officer, the department subsequently devised a strategy: they formed a team of seven female police officers and planned to have them secure employment within the aforementioned IT company. Since several individuals serving as team leaders within the company were already on the lookout for such needy, middle-class women, the seven female officers—who applied for jobs under assumed identities—were able to secure positions with relative ease. While working there, the seven officers spent approximately one week observing all ongoing activities firsthand. They also gathered footage from the more than 40 CCTV cameras installed throughout the premises. Subsequently, acting on complaints filed by seven additional women and one male employee, an FIR was registered, and six individuals were arrested. One female suspect is currently reported to be absconding.
