Imane Khelif is a cisgender woman who dealt with millions of threats because of freaks like you who are so obsessed with peoples genitalia that you accused her of being trans when she isn’t. @washingtonpost The hyperbole is predictable. Those pretending to be the opposite sex have to compete in their birth sex so women can have nice things. Those with a difference in sexual development disorder will also be screened and put in their correct sex class. Again, protecting women's sport

The International Olympic Committee has ruled that transgender women and athletes with differences of sex development will not be eligible to compete in women’s events at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics and future Games. To date, only one openly transgender woman, New Zealand weightlifter Laurel Hubbard, has competed at the Olympics, appearing at the Tokyo 2021 Games.

Looks like One Nation will end up with four seats in the SA lower house. Some formerly "safe" Labor seats in working class areas have now become very marginal. Hanson is now the primary opposition in South Australia, no doubt about it:

I have long had a theory that mainstream media elevates the most insane, borderline stupid, women who call themselves feminists purely to continue the narrator that feminists/women are insane & stupid. It would be quite boring to elevate the smart women/feminists because smart is boring. In Australia, for example, the “famous feminists” are deranged. Absolutely deranged. And then a bunch of men online respond to their actions with things like “this is why women shouldn’t be allowed to vote” or “feminism is destroying the world”. And it’s just like… no, she’s just a f—ing idiot. She’s given that platform specifically because she is & to get you to say that. It keeps a comfortable narrative going: that women are crazy.

The language around pregnancy/abortion has shifted to the point where young women will argue black and blue that it’s not a baby/child/human that is being aborted. Where language shifts, attitudes follow.

Ok when we say a third-trimester fetus is 'non-viable' we don't mean 'I don't want a baby without one arm' or 'I don't want a baby with a learning disability'. We mean the child is likely to die during birth or immediately after. Usually in a great deal of pain. That's the bar, legally and medically for an abortion at that stage. No doctor is going to perform a 9-month abortion because the child could have autism. That's a fantasy.

I dont think being overly emotional is particularly helpful when it comes to matters of the law but for the first time since becoming an MP I am genuinely sad about what parliament has done. I am sad because I know what the consequences will be. I am sad because I know nervous first time parents might give way to doubt and opt out of parenthood and how the reality of that means they'll be denied the greatest gift life will ever give them and instead inherit a life of monstrous guilt. I am sad because, now, healthy babies will be destroyed. I am really sorry that the UK has legalised full term abortion. For what it's worth, I voted NO. I am going to squeeze my children a little tighter and thank the universe a little more than normal this morning. You cannot become unpregnant. You just become the parent of a child you killed. That is the reality of life. We must face it. My babies.
