If you're a young kid: 1. Build real world skills that land you a good job. 2. Read philosophy and political material regularly. 3. Never mess with national security issues. Trust me if the state puts you under its radar it is game over. 4. Have a by default skepticism about someone that outrages about everything daily.

@pati_marins64 @Chellaney Are you comparing a military that is on defense with one on attack. Also not all countries might have geographical advantage like Iran. Take Pakistan which has no strategic depth and even dumb bombs with ukmp kits from India can cover most of the country.

This goes way beyond India. Australia, Canada, and nearly the entire West are struggling to look beyond conventional warfare. Countries that are spending fortunes on large warships today may be investing heavily in something increasingly risky. I believe smaller vessels with hybrid propulsion and three times the range will gain significant ground, while affordable solid-state battery-powered submarines and UUVs are poised to dominate naval warfare. We are already heading toward a future where autonomous drones will operate in the skies, going far beyond reconnaissance. They will engage in high-altitude air combat, striking fighter jets from above with missiles that have significantly longer ranges than those available today. We are witnessing the emergence of a entirely new kind of warfare, but most countries have not yet realized it. They are still trapped in old, conventional thinking.
Dr. Brahma Chellaney@Chellaney

India’s Military Is Preparing for the Wrong War India’s military strategy remains geared toward fighting the next big conventional war, even as its two closely aligned regional adversaries, China and Pakistan, prosecute asymmetric campaigns against it. China’s stealthy land grabs in Ladakh in 2020 — achieved without firing a single shot — offer a telling example. America’s war in Iran has again underscored the new logic of warfare: advantage no longer rests solely with the technologically superior, but with the strategically adaptive. Despite unleashing overwhelming force, the U.S. failed to convert its tactical successes into a tangible strategic outcome in the face of Iran’s asymmetric reprisals. This is a lesson India can ill afford to ignore, given its continued emphasis on importing big-ticket platforms. It has consistently ranked among the world’s largest arms importers. New Delhi is now advancing a major Rafale deal with France worth around $40 billion — far exceeding its cumulative investment this century in indigenous missile and drone development. The Iran war, much like the conflict in Ukraine, highlights that low-cost drones and missiles are now decisive, transformative weapons of deterrence and reprisal, often outpacing traditional high-end systems in strategic effect. India’s costly obsession with conventional war is blinding it to a simple reality: big-ticket weapons no longer deliver commensurate strategic returns. openthemagazine.com/world/war-on-i…

On "surveillance pricing", Avi Lewis is right. Food is not a luxury good. It’s a necessity. Pricing it based on personal data erodes trust, punishes vulnerability, and undermines the very notion of fairness in our food system. Surveillance pricing—what some call “precise dynamic pricing”—has no place in food retail. When algorithms decide what you pay based on your data, it stops being a market and becomes discrimination. Two households, same product, different price? That’s not innovation—that’s inequity.

Corporations have found a creepy new way to rip you off. It's called "surveillance pricing" and it's coming for all of us at the checkout if we don't stop it. Add your name and help stop retailers from price-gouging us with the help of Big Tech: ndp.ca/surveillance-p…

#Pakistan: classified docs secured by @DropSiteNews reveals #SaudiArabia has not committed any military support in the 2025 SMDA. The document details the extent of 🇵🇰’s sweeping obligations in defense of the Kingdom—from troops on the ground to protecting 🇸🇦 interests abroad—in exchange of getting basic financial support for its broken economy. The deal was supposed to be “cash for deterrence” but 🇵🇰 is in a bad position, as #MBS may draft #AsimMunir into the war w/ #Iran. Bottom line, Pakistan was desperate to mediate a deal between Iran and the US, to not get dragged into the war at the behest of the Saudi Crown Prince. Now that the talks have collapsed, Islamabad will soon be under grave pressure to take part in defensive kinetic action for the Saudis, against Iran. dropsitenews.com/p/leaked-saudi…

Putin is a weak loser. He just lost his closest European ally. He lost his dictator friends in Venezuela and Syria. His allies in the Iranian theocracy are in tatters. His stooges lost elections in Moldova & Romania. He lost the support of Armenia, and it’s only a matter of time before the Georgian people throw off their corrupt pro Putin regime. He lost his effort to stop NATO expansion, pushing Finland & Sweden into the alliance. He has lost over 1.3 million Russians to battlefield casualties. And now he is losing his war against Ukraine, falling back in many areas & controlling less Ukrainian territory than he did 4 years ago.

America needs to choose between India and Pakistan, if we don't want India to have ties with Russia, we need to cut ties with Pakistan. Why on earth is the US close to a country where most of the population hates us????

Plastic bans for Canada… plastic cups for Coachella. Former Canadian Prime Minster Justin Trudeau is being labeled a hypocrite for partying with red solo cups at Coachella alongside girlfriend Katy Perry after he led a nationwide effort to ban single-use plastics in Canada while he was in office.

You get over it by realizing that Marcus Aurelius’s nymphomaniac wife Faustina was known by everyone in Rome other than him to be cheating on him constantly, with everyone (not just gladiators), as noted by Edward Gibbon. You get over it by realizing that Marcus Aurelius ended the 150-year-long tradition, passed down to him from the reign of Augustus Caesar, of Roman emperors NOT handing over the reigns of empire to their sons, but to the best man of Rome; instead choosing his intemperate, paranoiac son Commodus, directly leading to 100 years of imperial assassinations and instability and ultimately the collapse of the Western Roman Empire. You realize he quite possibly did so at the incessant nagging of Faustina, Commodus’s mother. You get over it by realizing that Marcus Aurelius, after his nympho wife Faustina died, had a temple created for her and deified her as a paragon of chastity, that Roman brides would thereafter pray to to help preserve their chastity in advance of their own weddings (🤣). You get over it by realizing that Marcus Aurelius was CUCK PRIME, and that he cucked so hard his reign was the biggest joke reign by any Roman emperor, to the point of dooming the empire, and all the while he was writing a bunch of self-indulgent meditations that nice guys today find really profound. Once you make peace with the fact that Marcus was such a ridiculously cucked nice guy that he destroyed an entire empire to satisfy his constantly-cheating wife, and that is simply who Marcus Aurelius really was, and that he had to turn stoic just to escape from the sheer oppressive dissonance of his own infinite well of bottomless cuckoldry, your mind will at last be free. & if you think I am joking, go read The History of the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire and let your eyes be opened!

Islamic Iran is among the top 10 persecutors of Christians in the world! 🟥 They appeal to Christians online to fool uninformed people. Meanwhile, converting from Islam to Christianity carries the death penalty in Iran and it is illegal to preach Christianity to Muslims.
