For crying out loud, she even concedes “Their association with Hezbollah was never in doubt.” Yet then proceeds to defend them. This is behind a joke now.

The head of the Lebanese Forces Center in Yahchouch, Pierre Moawad, and his wife were martyred in the airstrike on Tilal Ain Saadeh.

Do you actually buy this story? We’re told that because Christians had internal disputes, they handed the keys of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre to a Muslim family. Think about that for a second. They couldn’t resolve their own disagreements, but they could agree to surrender control of their holiest site? And what does that solve, exactly? Does giving the key end their disputes? Of course not. This isn’t about conflict resolution. It’s about control. Holding the key is a statement of authority: you don’t even open your most sacred church without us. That’s not neutrality. That’s dominance dressed up as “tradition.” Your holiest place on earth, and you need someone outside your faith to unlock the door? What does that say about sovereignty? About ownership? Call it what it is. Not a noble compromise, not a clever solution. A symbol of subordination that’s been repackaged as coexistence in a fabricated narrative.
