There we have it! Previous May temperature record beaten by a full 2°C. In a long term national weather record that is a ridiculous amount. Previous record exceeded at at least 13 other locations. Climate deniers obsessed with airfield weather stations will be disappointed.

Take a look at how this Labour government is tackling the cost of living. Real change, that makes a difference to real families.

@DrNeilStone He wiped out their Air Force their navy a lot of other essential targets. He knows if he attacks again he’ll set them back into the Stone Age, but he will if he has to don’t underestimate Trump.

President Trump says critics are attacking an Iran deal that “isn’t even fully negotiated yet.” In a lengthy statement, Trump defended ongoing talks while sharply criticizing the Obama administration’s nuclear agreement with Tehran, claiming it handed Iran “massive amounts of CASH” and enabled its nuclear ambitions. “If I make a deal with Iran, it will be a good and proper one,” Trump wrote before insisting: “I don’t make bad deals.” The statement comes as the White House continues negotiations amid mounting pressure over Iran’s nuclear program.

@3Homer3 @MichaelTLester Shall we start with the school on the first morning of this clusterfuck and then justify the rest of it, a war that’s achieved nothing but make everything more expensive across the world, killed hundreds, made the Iranians more hostile to the west and trump and his cronies rich!

@MichaelTLester so 950 billion in bombing did not do any damage to Iran? If that is the case, it's a good thing that we got rid of all those bomb duds.

Before Feb 28: Oil $67/barrel. Iran had no nuclear weapons. Straits open. U.S. intel said no weaponization program. We attack them: Oil hit $126. Now sitting at $98. Straits closed. Program undamaged. $25B spent directly. Analysts say indirect costs hit $600-950B. Half our missile arsenal gone. Someone who thinks this is a win, explain it to me. I'll wait.

Sky News just did an extended piece on the UK being the world's largest importer of jet fuel, with zero production capacity. They managed not to mention the closure 2 years ago of the Grangemouth oil refinery which produced jet fuel.

Last night Ed Miliband whipped his MPs to vote against our motion to save the North Sea and British refineries. He argued Labour’s plans to kill British production was ‘climate leadership.’ Meanwhile he was waiving sanctions on Putin’s oil. 🤯

@EmmaforWycombe @angelaeagle Not sure you’ve got your facts right there….cuttting fuel duty on red diesel at current prices doesn’t make it the lowest rate in 20’years….ffs Not adding 5p fuel duty doesn’t affect the current prices either!

In 2025 the UK was the fastest growing European G7 economy. Today the IMF forecast the same to be the case in 2026, with the UK very likely the fastest growing of the whole G7 in the first quarter of the year (Japan data out tomorrow)
IMF@IMFNews

UK growth in 2026 is revised up to 1.0%, reflecting stronger-than-expected momentum before the Middle East war. Growth is set to slow as higher energy prices, tighter financial conditions, and global uncertainty weigh on activity, underscoring need for sound macro policies. imf.org/en/news/articl…

@hattonmark40 @EmmaforWycombe I think we all are. There's only so much people can actually take before we are at tipping point. Only thing i can see to do is strike for one week every month. Hit them where it hurts until they get the message they work for US and not the WEF. Can life really get any worse?
