I’m proud to announce that we’ve just built another school in Gaza that will be open for 500 more students at the start of the new school year in September. Our schools are 100% free. We also provide books, supplies, and uniforms, as well as psychological and nutritional support.
Playgrounds for Palestine (PfP)@Play4Palestine

While the world sees rubble, we see the foundation of another school. Every classroom we build is an investment in hope for the children of Gaza. Help us keep building. Become a monthly donor and stand with Gaza’s children. 💛

🔵 Nearly 10,000 children in Gaza have contracted chickenpox as Israel’s blockade has left the Strip without the vaccine and deprived its health system of medicines and essential supplies, according to Dr. Ahmed Al-Fara, head of pediatrics at Nasser Medical Complex. 🔹A 2-year-old child died today from complications of the disease, Shehab News reported. Al-Fara said Israel’s forced displacement of Palestinians into overcrowded shelters, alongside devastated sanitation, medicine shortages and collapsing healthcare, is accelerating the spread of infectious disease. 🔹Child malnutrition is also rising sharply, while anemia now affects 50–55% of pregnant women and the abortion rate has reached about 47%, he said. 🔹UN reporting has independently documented more than 9,000 chickenpox cases and the severe overcrowding and health-system breakdown driving the outbreak.
Warfare Analysis@warfareanalysis

A massive chickenpox outbreak is spreading rapidly across Gaza’s crowded displaced families tents 20 day old Palestinian baby girl Tala Abu Ghali has contracted the disease while living with her family in an extremely hot tent with almost no basic necessities.

If Israel lays down its arms, 1 apartheid regime, 2 genocides & 3 military occupations would end. If Palestinians lay down their arms, Israel will "remain in Gaza,” as Israeli Defense Minster @Israel_katz just said, & then Israel will expel 2M Palestinians from Palestine.

🇮🇱 A new Channel 14 report shows senior Israeli government and military officials openly celebrating the destruction of Gaza, the mass killing of Palestinians, their forced displacement to the coast, and Israel’s permanent occupation of the territory. One senior officer described all 70,000 Palestinians he said Israel had killed as “terrorists.” The full video is linked below. Here are some of the remarks: 🔹 Defense Minister Israel Katz: “The important thing: those neighborhoods like Jabaliya, Shuja’iyya, which we only controlled a part of - are destroyed. In ruins.” Interviewer: “When you see Gaza destroyed like this, how do you feel?” Katz: “What do I feel? Feel good. What, this is all the result of a deliberate policy that [was designed] to remove threats. Instead of the method of raids - enter, exit, and Hamas returns - the IDF is inside, the residents are outside, and the houses are destroyed.” Katz: “We are not retreating from the yellow line, unequivocally, as long as Hamas does not truly disarm. And even after that, we will remain in Gaza!” 🔹 Major General Tamir Yadai, deputy chief of staff of the Israeli military: “I don’t know how to describe this [situation] other than victory. When you control 65% of the territory [of the Gaza Strip], when 70,000 terrorists have been killed here, when the majority of the population is in the beach since… for a second summer there already, when the IDF is inside The Strip with a different [scale of deployment] than before, when there’s a full freedom of operation.” 🔹 Major General Yaniv Assor, commander of the Israeli military’s southern command: “Over the last period, [since Operation Lion’s Roar], there have been 300 [targeted assassinations] in The Strip.”

Here's what really happened on October 7th... 1. 07 OCTOBER 2022. Israeli forces opened fire on a group of Palestinian children near the Apartheid wall in Qalqiliya, killing a 14-year-old boy with live ammunition (UN OCHA report) 2. 07 OCTOBER 2021. Israeli settlers from the Telem settlement cut down more than 100 olive seedlings on Palestinian-owned land in Turqumiya, Hebron, belonging to 'Aziz Jamil Ja'afrah — the same land where settlers had uprooted trees the year before. (PCHR, 7–13 Oct 2021) Israeli forces raided at least nine homes overnight and arrested eleven people, including a father and son together (Wadi al-Far'a, Tubas) and a 16-year-old (Adham Abu Srour, Dawha), without charge. A 55-year-old activist was separately arrested without charge at the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound. Israeli forces demolished two residential structures in Bab al-Shams village (East Jerusalem area) belonging to two brothers — the third demolition of their homes within a single year. Israeli gunboats fired on a Palestinian fishing boat off Gaza for roughly two and a half hours overnight. Checkpoints and closures were imposed in Jericho, Bethlehem, Hebron, and Nablus. 3. 07 OCTOBER 2020. Israeli forces raided Aida refugee camp, Bethlehem, blew open the doors of the camp's People's Committee office, and damaged nearby homes in the process — Palestinians officials called it part of a "terror campaign" against the camp. (PCHR, 1–7 Oct 2020) Israeli forces raided a boys' school (al-Jamla School) in Jenin, confiscated staff IDs, and copied footage from the school's security camera system. Multiple home-raid arrests took place in Beita, Yatta, al-Eizariya, al-Hashimia (Jenin), Qusra, and Qabatiya. Israeli settlers from the Leshem settlement set fire to Palestinian-owned land in Deir Ballut, Salfit, burning 50 olive trees. Multiple checkpoints/closures reported in Hebron (4), Nablus, and elsewhere, disrupting children's abilities to attend school and commutes to work and cutting off access to medical facilities and family. 4. 07 OCTOBER 2019. 20-year-old Fadi Osama Hejazi, died from sniper wounds sustained months earlier at Great March of Return protests (PCHR, 3–9 Oct 2019) Israeli forces raided at least nine homes overnight across Bethlehem (al-Duheisha camp, Wad Ma'ali), Ramallah (al-Mazra'ah al-Gharbiyah), Jenin ('Anza village), Tulkarm ('Atil village), and Salfit (Hares village, two homes), arresting at least 12 people. Israeli forces raided and ransacked the Hanthala Cultural Centre in Safa village (a heritage/youth-skills organization), breaking its main door and confiscating files. Israeli forces guarding the Apartheid wall shot two Palestinian men near Zeta and Tulkarm while they attempted to cross into Israel for work. Settlers from the Yitzhar settlement cut down 36 olive trees overnight in Burin village (Nablus). Later that morning, settlers from the same settlement attacked Burin's mixed school under military protection, forcing the administration to evacuate students. In order to prevent Palestinians from leaving their homes during Jewish holiday, Israel began a full closure of the Tunnel, 300, al-Jeeb, and Hizma checkpoints (separating Jerusalem from Bethlehem and nearby areas) for three days during Yom Kippur, alongside closures of Arab village/neighborhood entrances with iron barriers and cement blocks, preventing anyone from accessing school, work, or medical facilities during that time. 5. 07 OCTOBER 2018. Israeli forces raided homes in Jenin, Beit Ummer (Hebron), and al-Jalazoun refugee camp (Ramallah), arresting at least eight people; in Jalazoun, soldiers also confiscated 2,500 shekels (~$700) in cash from one household during the raid. (PCHR, 4–10 Oct 2018) Israeli forces raided homes and a shop in Beit Led (Tulkarm), confiscating surveillance camera recordings, and arrested a 47-year-old man along with his 19-year-old son without charge. Israeli forces carried out 20 additional home invasions (without arrests) across Hebron, Tulkarm, and Qalqiliya-area villages. An Israeli drone fired a missile at a group of civilians near al-Shawka village, east of Rafah, Gaza. Israeli gunboats opened heavy fire on Palestinian fishing boats off Rafah, firing flare bombs and forcing fishermen to flee. Israeli forces conducted a limited ground invasion into eastern al-Bureij, central Gaza. 6. 07 OCTOBER 2017. Israeli forces raided three homes overnight — in Ya'bud (Jenin), Wad Rahal (Bethlehem), and Bethlehem city — arresting three people, including two minors, without charge. Israeli forces arrested without charge a 44-year-old man, Naser al-Jundi, at a checkpoint set up at the entrance to Al Fawwar refugee camp, south of Hebron. Israeli gunboats twice opened fire on Palestinian fishing boats off Beit Lahia and al-Sudaniya (northern Gaza), chasing them; no injuries or damage reported. Israeli forces stationed along the Gaza perimeter fence near Umm al-Nasser Bedouin village opened sporadic fire and fired flare bombs into the border area, terrorizing residents. Israeli forces conducted six additional home invasions without arrests in al-Samou', Bani Na'im, Sa'ir, and al-Jalajel (Hebron) and Bedia and Masha (Salfit). Temporary military checkpoints were set up at Halhoul and al-Dahiriya (Hebron), four locations around Qalqiliya, and three in Salfit, further restricting Palestinian movement. That night, hundreds of Israeli settlers entered 'Awerta village (Nablus) under military protection to perform religious rituals in Palestinian towns. 7. 07 OCTOBER 2016. Israeli forces raided homes in Sabastiya (Nablus) and Nour al-Shams refugee camp (Tulkarm) overnight, arresting five people without charge. Israeli forces entered al-Far'a refugee camp (Tubas); when young men gathered and threw stones, soldiers fired live rounds, hitting three civilians. Israeli naval forces intercepted a fishing boat at sea, ordered the two fishermen (one a 17-year-old) to strip and swim to the gunboat, then detained them; one was released later that day, the other and the boat remained in custody. Weekly Friday protests in Bil'in, Ni'lin, al-Nabi Saleh, and Kafr Qaddum were attacked with live fire, rubber bullets, tear gas, and sound bombs; in Bil'in, soldiers assaulted a farmer trying to reach his own field and confiscated his vehicle. In Gaza, Israeli forces opened fire on young men gathered near the perimeter fence in solidarity with Jerusalem (Shuja'iya and al-Bureij), wounding two with live rounds. Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian olive pickers from Yasouf village (Salfit) while they worked their land. Dozens of settlers, escorted by Israeli forces, entered Ta'nak village (Jenin) to pray at a religious site; soldiers closed the village's main street to secure the visit, locking thousands of Palestinians in their homes. Checkpoints went up on the Tarusah village road (west of Dura) and at Hebron's southern entrance (al-Fahes), further restricting Palestinian movement. 8. 07 OCTOBER 2015. An Israeli settler shot a Palestinian girl from Sur Baher four times in Jerusalem's Old City; Israeli forces claimed she had stabbed him, an account PCHR notes it could not independently verify. Hundreds of Bir Zeit University students and other civilians protested near a checkpoint and settlement outside al-Bireh; Israeli forces fired live ammunition, wounding ten (eight by live fire), while undercover Israeli units embedded in the crowd violently kidnapped three students — one shot in the leg, another shot in the head and left in serious condition. Israeli forces raided homes across Hebron governorate overnight, kidnapping at least 16 people, including a 12-year-old (Amir Abu Romouz) and a 13-year-old (Nasim al-Teiti), in Hebron city, Dura, Halhoul, and Al Fawwar and Al Arroub refugee camps. Israeli forces raided two homes in Nablus, arresting two men without charge. Soldiers occupied an uninhabited home in Halhoul, raised an Israeli flag over it, and briefly operated a checkpoint from the site before withdrawing but continuing to occupy the house. This was the seventh consecutive day Nablus remained under a full Israeli military cordon (imposed since October 1 as collective punishment), with the Huwwara, Jeet, al-Naqoura, and Deir Sharaf checkpoints all tightened, denying and delaying movement for residents. IT GOES ON LIKE THIS EVERY DAY OF EVERY YEAR AS FAR BACK AS YOU LOOK

You've read this here a thousand times. Israelis support the genocide by refraining not only from acknowledging the genocide but from accepting the humanity of Palestinians in toto. Reading Israeli social media now, it is all about "religious coercion" (limitation of civil rights) and "a shared burden" (conscripting the ultraorthodox because the IDF urgently needs new troops to continue the genocide). Gaza, dying in the heat and a plethora of siege- and lack-induced diseases? Fuck them. Don't start wars you can't win. The West Bank, crumbling under joblessness created intentionally by Israel? See under Gaza. The evil of dehumanization is not unique to zionism. It has been brought to an extreme by Israel and zionism. Pep Guardiola really was right (as were Rage Against the Machine) - If you tolerate this, them your children will be next. Don't.

Today, the Combatting Hate Act comes into force. Stronger penalties for hate-motivated crimes. A ban on the public display of hate symbols. New tools to arrest anyone who tries to intimidate you or block access to your place of worship. Because in Canada everyone should be able to be who they are and worship how they choose —  openly, freely, and safely.

If we could just stop judging people as groups, we’d all get along so much better. The truth is, every race, color, and religion—including white people—has both good and bad individuals. The vast majority of people just want peace, and it’s unfair to write off an entire group just because of a few bad apples. That’s just life; we shouldn’t judge the many by the actions of a few

Most of the coverage around Ilana Gritzewsky over the last few weeks say or imply that she was raped. She herself said she was not (see video) In another interview she says they raped her “with their eyes”, the same story Mia Schem told The hostage Ilana stayed with, Liat Atzili, also contradicts her various stories about her hostage experience and says hostages were expected to share a certain narrative and when they refused to they were harshly treated and even attacked (see video at end) I’m not sharing these to deny violence, violence is a necessary part of the majority of liberatory movements in history. Hamas themselves wrote a report where they admitted there were some faults during their military operation, but it remains it was a strategic necessity in wider context of oppressive history to confront the illegal occupation and bring the Palestinian struggle to the world I’m sharing these because atrocity propaganda, which includes false claims of rape, has been used as a form of narrative warfare to justify ongoing genocide, illegal occupation, repressive laws and other things and to date, there has been no independent body that has been able to confirm accusations of rape. (The circumstantial evidence originally found was never able to be corroborated in any way. Palestine agreed to participate in the investigation and ‘Israel’ did not) Also, when Mia Schem returned home she was raped by an ‘Israeli’ and it was heavily challenged in ‘Israeli’ media

Today marks a troubling moment for civil liberties in Canada. Under the guise of combating hate, the federal government has enacted legislation that expands state powers over protest and public assembly. From the labour movement to Indigenous land defenders, from the fight for queer and trans liberation to the movement for Palestinian freedom, social progress has depended on the ability of ordinary people to organize, protest, and speak out. A democracy that fears protest is a democracy in decline.

The continued detention of the 16 Palestinian doctors in Israeli prisons is a compound crime. Isolation, starvation and denial of medical care require urgent international action. Detained doctors face harsh and inhumane conditions. They are denied family contact and subjected to mistreatment and medical neglect. Full statement: palprisoners.ps/?p=2335&lang=en

I searched a Gaza war crimes archive for my family. I quickly realized I wasn’t using it the way most people would. I wasn’t browsing it as an activist, researcher or journalist. I was looking for my family. My heart sank as I filtered the archive by the dates we lost them and searched for someone I loved. I found footage I hadn’t seen before of the bombing of the Church of St. Porphyrius, where my cousin Soliman was killed. I searched for the day my great aunt Elham was murdered, and the day Nahida and Samar Anton were killed by Israeli snipers at the Holy Family Catholic Church. Eyewitnesses told us Elham was crushed by an Israeli tank. I have graphic photographs of her body that were sent to me by church workers in Gaza, but I found no footage of what happened. It made me wonder how many people died without leaving behind any visual record. The realization stayed with me. Here was a digital graveyard where pieces of my own family history are preserved for journalists, historians, truth seekers and, undoubtedly, those seeking to exploit or consume human suffering. I know I won’t be the only person to experience this. Other Palestinians searching for loved ones almost certainly will too. But it struck me that this is a form of grief that could scarcely have existed before our time. It’s a form of grief I never imagined could exist.
