The driver refused to stop, leading to a high-speed pursuit. The Trooper safely performed a PIT maneuver, ending the pursuit. The driver then bailed out and attempted to flee on foot, but was no match for the Trooper's determination and physical endurance. After climbing a fence while trying to escape, the suspect was tased and taken into custody. The driver, Samuel Infante of Laredo, was arrested and charged with six counts of smuggling of persons. Six illegal immigrants were turned over to the U.S. Border Patrol. There needs to be a deep dive into their experience and qualifications for the position they took from a quailified American. Too many just walk out, or put up with it without reporting.
