Head and Neck Pathology reviews squamous cell carcinomas of unknown primary (SCCUP), which make up about 5% of head and neck cancers. The study highlights challenges in treatment due to the absence of a clear tumor origin. bit.ly/4t2YdL6

It's the smile Dr. Israa Laklouk gives every tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte, because she knows more about them than they know about themselves. Her poster: Tumor-Infiltrating Lymphocytes and Tertiary Lymphoid Structures in Renal Cell Carcinoma Predict Clinical Outcome #USCAP2023

My first validation project from fellowship just got published on a novel assay that detects a broad range of actionable fusions in 3 hours from FFPE to report. Many thanks to mentors, colleagues and friends from MSK.

#MolDx has come so far that we may depend on it for certain entities, & yet we get playfully chided by surgeons who (reasonably) want to know NOW. Love when I call in an easy intraop dx & hear "I suppose we're waiting for molecular?" ♥️ @MassEyeAndEar #ENT #ENTSurgery #ENTPath

I thought pathologists were cleverest, as I wrote to an #ENTOnc & #ENTsurgeon, having predicted the correct thyroid gene fusion in my note, now confirmed, with a mic drop 🎤. He retorted, in my case, it was a different mic🔬drop. He wins. #PathHumor @ScarlessThyroid
