The state language shouldn’t be made Optional in these Delhi and International boards under the pretext that there are students who come from other states . Schools, college students and working professionals who come to Mumbai from other states to earn livelihoods disrespectfully say they don’t know #Marathi & it’s not required to reside #Mumbai as it is Cosmopolitan city . They address Mumbai as Bombay which signifies disrespect to the city . If we go to English speaking countries or France/Germany among others we speak their respective languages. Therefore, there is nothing wrong with it . If foreigners can learn Marathi then Indian students and working professionals too can do it because they are learning French/German and other foreign languages in these boards which charges them exorbitant fees. People should learn #Marathi out of love and respect for the financial capital and state (which has rich history of #ChhatrapatiShivajiMaharaj, saints and Freedom Fighters) through which they are earning their livelihoods .
