@sussex_police there is a large amount of broken glass on the St Leonards A259 seafront road halfway between the Royal Victoria Hotel and The Fountain pub - likely to lead to multiple burst tyres!

@ChrisHopsonNHS @DrK_W1984 @NHSEngland @NuffieldTrust @BBCr4today Wonderful to see focus on ADHD, but for max efficiency services need to be neurodevelopmental & transdiagnostic. Co-occurrence is norm, not exception. Makes no sense to have separate ADHD & autism pathways, never mind Tourette’s, dyspraxia, hypermobility. They’re all connected

It’s important to remember that the current diagnostic criteria for autism describe distressed autistic people, yet it’s perfectly possible to be autistic & thrive.

CALL TO ACTIVISM
CALL TO ACTIVISM@CalltoActivism·
Wow. Here’s Robert De Niro’s full statement about how Donald Trump should NEVER be president again: “I’ve spent a lot of time studying bad men.  I’ve examined their characteristics, their mannerisms, the utter banality of their cruelty. Yet there’s something different about Donald Trump. When I look at him, I don’t see a bad man. Truly. I see an evil one. Over the years, I’ve met gangsters here and there. This guy tries to be one, but he can’t quite pull it off. There’s such a thing as “honor among thieves.” Yes, even criminals usually have a sense of right and wrong.  Whether they do the right thing or not is a different story — but — they have a moral code, however warped. Donald Trump does not. He’s a wannabe tough guy with no morals or ethics. No sense of right or wrong. No regard for anyone but himself — not the people he was supposed to lead and protect, not the people he does business with, not the people who follow him, blindly and loyally, not even the people who consider themselves his “friends.” He has contempt for all of them. We New Yorkers got to know him over the years that he poisoned the atmosphere and littered our city with monuments to his ego.  We knew first hand that this was someone who should never be considered for leadership.  We tried to warn the world in 2016. The repercussions of his turbulent presidency divided America and rattled New York City beyond imagination.  Remember how we were jolted by crisis in early 2020, as a virus swept the world. We lived with Donald Trump’s bombastic behavior every day on the national stage, and we suffered as we saw our neighbors piling up in body bags. The man who was supposed to protect this country put it in peril, because of his recklessness and impulsiveness. It was like an abusive father ruling the family by fear and violent behavior.  That was the consequence of New York’s warning getting ignored. Next time, we know it will be worse. Make no mistake: the twice-impeached, 4-time indicted Donald Trump is still a fool. But we can’t let our fellow Americans write him off like one. Evil thrives in the shadow of dismissive mockery, which is why we must take the danger of Donald Trump very seriously. So today we issue another warning. From this place where Abraham Lincoln spoke — right here in the beating heart of New York — to the rest of America: This is our last chance. Democracy won’t survive the return of a wannabe dictator. And it won’t overcome evil if we are divided. So what do we do about it?  I know I’m preaching to the choir here.  What we’re doing today is valuable, but we have to take today into tomorrow – take it outside these walls.   We have to reach out to the half of our country who have ignored the hazards of Trump and, for whatever reason, support elevating him back into the White House.  They’re not stupid, and we must not condemn them for making a stupid choice.  Our future doesn’t just depend on us. It depends on them. Let’s reach out to Trump’s followers with respect.  Let’s not talk about “democracy.”  “Democracy” may be our holy grail, but to others it is just a word, a concept, and in their embrace of Trump, they’ve already turned their backs on it.  Let’s talk about right and wrong.  Let’s talk about humanity.  Let’s talk about kindness.  Security for our world.  Safety for our families.  Decency.  Let’s welcome them back.  We won’t get them all, but we can get enough to end the nightmare of Trump, and fulfill the mission of this “Stop Trump Summit.”

BREAKING: Donald Trump's week from hell takes a turn for the worse as his hometown newspaper rips him to shreds and proudly endorses Joe Biden for president. But it gets even worse for Trump... "It’s time for those who remain undecided to look with a set of fresh eyes at the evidence amassing before them," the editors of the The Palm Beach Post wrote in a piece entitled "Ignore pundits, sure, but consider the evidence piling up against Trump." Mar-a-Lago is of course located in Palm Beach, so we can be certain that Trump's rich neighbors will see the paper's endorsement — as well as its brutal attack on Trump. "As annoying as the acid taunts of pundits and penmen about the former President may strike you, cast that rhetoric aside for a minute and evaluate the evidence," the paper stated. "And we use the word 'evidence' advisedly, because aside from candidate Trump’s own crowd-stirring lies about the elections and an abundance of audio and video recordings going back years, there’s now a growing record of court testimony and documentation, tested by argument and counterargument, that is laying itself out before us," they added. "Judges and juries of Trump’s peers in recent weeks have found the evidence overwhelming, to the tune of more than a half-billion dollars in fines, mounting with interest," they explained. "In civil cases he’s been found to have engaged in sexual assault, defamation and corporate fraud, and the clock is winding down on criminal trials, as well," they went on. "The latter will put the lie to his claims he was cheated out of reelection. They will support charges he tried to racketeer his way to a win in Georgia and nationally – just listen to that recording again. And they will spell out how, with words, actions and inaction, he sought to overthrow the will of the voters on Jan. 6, 2021." The Palm Beach Post endorsed Joe Biden for president in 2020 as well because they "yearned so strongly to remove" Trump. Now in 2024, they clearly want to do everything within their power to keep the MAGA maniac out of the White House. "Trump has openly demonstrated why, even if you put character aside — which we can’t — the nation would have much to fear from his second term," the editors wrote. "As you consider your ballot, though you might prefer his tilt to the right to Biden’s tilt to the left, ask yourself if this is the quality of a man who should represent you, speak for you, act in your name, be the master of your universe," they urged. "Don’t listen to the pundits. Just look at the evidence." Well said! We will be proudly voting for Joe Biden. Will you? Please retweet and ❤️ if you will be voting for Biden to defeat Trump's fascism — and consider joining the growing exodus to Tribel, a new pro-democracy social network that is exploding in popularity because Twitter and Facebook are trying to stop its growth — which is only making Tribel grow even faster. This is happening. This is the most concerning thing on my radar right now. What's happening here is more dangerous than anything Trump is putting on social media...in my opinion. I have no answers as to why this is not being treated like the three-alarm fire that it is. (There may very well be ongoing investigations...but) The fact that Steve Bannon is out there still doing his daily podcasts...priming the loons to do horrible things, and Mike Flynn is running around doing his thing...for three long fucking years after the Jan 6th insurrection...and just nine months from the 2024 election they are talking about...is simply not acceptable. Damage is being done. Minds are being polluted. National security is being compromised even further. They have already accepted they can't win the 2024 election. They did that long ago. They are planning to take it...by force. I'll have much to say about this in upcoming Jack Hopkins Now Newsletter issues. The link is in my profile. Please subscribe. You'll want to hear what I have to say, and X isn't the place to say it.

Yesterday, Mike Flynn, Matt Gaetz & a litany of MAGA/QAnon propagandists spent hours urging service members to commit mutiny & sedition in the project to overthrow the government. They all endorsed this christofascist antivax screed threatening officers with courts martial for enforcing vaccine requirements. “Let’s begin by defending our military from its own leadership.” This is blatant sedition being validated by a three-star general with a brother commanding the Pacific Army. What are we doing? @SecDef @SecArmy @thejointstaff #ArrestMikeFlynn

Belonging at work really matters. Employees with a strong sense of belonging outperform others on almost every metric, from engagement & retention to performance & wellbeing. Good leadership supports belonging: People with an effective manager are 6X more likely to feel this sense of belonging. Six ways to gauge belonging at work based on research: 1) Overall sense of belonging: I feel a strong sense of belonging at my organisation 2) Welcomed: I feel warmly welcomed at in my organisation (first day, new team, new role) 3) Known: I feel known as an individual at work 4) Included: I feel included at work (can be myself, my opinions are valued, can respectfully disagree) 5) Supported: I am supported at work in achieving my personal & professional development goals 6) Connected: I feel a strong connection with peers and colleagues Download a great free toolkit ("blueprint") for building belonging: achievers.com/resources/whit… Thank you @Achievers
