The level of profanity here is so shocking as to be unbecoming of a Member of Congress. There is nothing in Jamaal Bowman’s unhinged tirade that remotely resembles the decency of the people I know and represent in the South Bronx.

Jamaal Bowman claims that Westchester, unlike NYC, is segregated. He then singles out “the Jews” whom he claims “made a decision” to segregate “for their own reasons.” There’s a word for this scapegoating: antisemitism.

Much attention deservedly given to the Israeli hostages seized on 10/7 by Hamas fighters, but very little attention given over the years for 100s of innocent Palestinians imprisoned by Israel without charges in order to control their extended families in the West Bank and Gaza.
