What began as sharing the Gospel with my 2 y/o through stories & song has grown into a community of parents raising their Little Lights in the truth of Jesus. I’m so grateful (and teary!) for where the Lord is leading the LL channel & all the new ideas. Cheers to 2026! ✨💛

@claudeai I feel like we don’t need to be however productive this would make us. We can just chill for a second and be just 100x more productive rather than jumping straight to 1000x

It's really okay to marry someone, stick with them, and raise kids together. No journalist will write an edgy magazine piece about your lifestyle, but you'll have a great shot at a fulfilling and meaningful life.

The propaganda never ends with these evil freaks. While the media is so nauseatingly obsessed with telling you that "lazy weekends, disposable income, and peace of mind" outrank the beauty of parenthood, know this: • lazy weekends are infinitely better with your daughter snuggled in your arms • your bank account ultimately means nothing and will never love you back • there is no greater peace of mind on earth than staring into your baby's eyes when they laugh for the first time Human beings were not created for the type of malignant narcissism constantly pushed by the media. We were built for LOVE, which comes from other human beings... especially those we CREATE out of love.
New York Magazine@NYMag

Sooner or later, everyone has to decide whether to give up lazy weekends, disposable income, and overall peace of mind to have a baby instead. For many of those on the fence, one anxiety looms large: What if I make the wrong choice? Parent regret is more common than you might think — the r/regretfulparents sub-Reddit alone gets around 70,000 weekly visitors who anonymously commiserate — though stigma makes it hard to admit in real life. Writer Bindu Bansinath speaks with three moms of young children about why they wish they could go back to their old lives: nymag.visitlink.me/Sv0c_9

I firmly believe that we can literally feel the amount of handmade human care put into something. That’s why the old animated films often feel like they have more “soul.” That is the expression of human care you’re sensing. I hope we don’t lose this.

@darlingstrawbie @yoalexrapz What children watch/absorb become there world view. Everything they see, hear, etc becomes what they believe. So it does matter. This is the reason you can’t separate a puppy for 8 wks from its mother but you can “deletes fetus” as perfectly acceptable. Building blocks matter

@yoalexrapz the trailer looked funny and wholesome to me. also no offense but who cares if animals are elevated to the same level as humans in it? it’s just a movie, it isn’t real life. im already seeing a lot of good reviews as well, sounds like many adults and kids are enjoying it.

I went to see this. Parents shouldn’t take kids under 10 to see this movie. Kids 10-13 years old should see it with parents and have a discussion afterwards. It is the darkest Pixar film with heavy themes, destruction and violence due to the main character’s selfishness and bad decisions, none of the main human characters are likable, promotes a message of “all people are good inside” and that “animals should be elevated to the same level as humans” (neither biblical). It’s also completely void of joy, atypical for a Pixar film. Only a handful of laughs and instead a focus on heavy and serious topics. Can’t imagine any children wanting to watch this film a second time let alone over and over again.

The point of fairy tales like Hansel and gretel and red riding hood is to make children aware (through a physically safe container) that their are predators out there that need to be seen, avoided, and defeated. This reduces naivety, which especially for Europeans is a natural trait (and a good one as it’s associated with awe and wonder). More importantly, it builds courage and the heroic impulse - the most necessary trait a child can learn to build their character and aid them in making the world a better place. Helicopter parenting and the nanny state is a ploy by the predators of life

Children deserve to experience fear, disgust, and discomfort in safe scenarios where they can process those sensations. Media for children used to be scary and that's important.

Toy Story 5 is going to be a gut punch to modern parenting, where children are just given tablets, which leads to technology addiction, anxiety, depression, sleep disruption, & self-esteem issues… Culture needs this movie. Can’t wait to watch.

It’s crazy the number of men who are Christian internet famous and teaching God’s word online that don’t have the character to go with it. I’m not talking about the blatantly obvious false teachers. I’m talking about the people you follow and learn from.

I can tell you as a person with divorced parents it just never gets easier either. The way it’s hard just changes. It used to be that there was always the feeling that something was missing on every birthday, Christmas, life milestone. That sadness permeated my childhood and adolescence not bc I hated my parents for divorcing but bc I loved them so much and I still do. Wondering who I might be, how I might have been a better person and more successful had I had the input of both my parents in my developmental years. Had I not been distracted constantly by the suffering of always missing someone dear. Now it’s quality has shifted bc I am a mother myself and explaining the details to my children is challenging as they are so young and I don’t want them to be burdened with even the knowledge that divorce exists. But step grandparents and noticing that my mom and dad live in different places is unavoidable. The ripple effect of divorce doesn’t stop with the kids it continues on into the lives of grandchildren too. I am lucky that despite the awkwardness of this situation my parents are loving and involved grandparents who adore their grandchildren endlessly. But as a mom I still carry the longing to know how it might have been different for them too and what advantages in life they missed out as a result. There is almost no burden I can think of that I would not endure to make sure me And their father stay together until death. Knowing I would feel this way, I was HIGHLY choosy and slow to find a husband, and thankfully this helped me find a 10/10. Even still my “happiness” is an absolute triviality in comparison to their well being and I feel blessed to be in a marriage where divorce is never even on the table. Where the cycle of broken homes will end with me.

Stanford said you guys gotta stop complaining and lock in
Shining Science@ShiningScience

🚨 Research shows repeated complaining physically rewires your brain to prioritize stress and negativity. The way we speak about our daily challenges does more than just vent frustration; it physically alters the architecture of the brain. When we engage in chronic complaining, we repeatedly activate neural networks responsible for detecting threats and processing stress. Through the biological process of neuroplasticity, these circuits become stronger and more efficient every time they are used. Essentially, the brain learns to become more adept at finding things to be unhappy about, turning a temporary mood into a permanent biological predisposition toward negativity and fear-based thinking. As these negative pathways become the brain's default setting, individuals often experience a measurable increase in baseline stress levels and emotional volatility. This heightened sensitivity means that even minor inconveniences can trigger an intense stress response because the brain has been conditioned to interpret the world through a lens of threat. Findings discussed by the Stanford University School of Medicine emphasize that while this mechanism is powerful, understanding the science of affective neuroscience is the first step in consciously redirecting those pathways toward more resilient emotional patterns.
