Iran is working on a protocol with Oman to enforce tolls and restrictions on the Strait of Hormuz. Iran could theoretically generate $35-50 billion a year in toll fees, paid in Chinese currency, thus further decreasing demand for petrodollars. The dollar is the goose that lays the golden eggs, eroding its power erodes US power. No doubt the neocon cabal that drives hyper-hawkish US foreign policy is quite incandescent with rage right now.

Next target in Iran is a heavily state-dominated banking sector, with over 25 major commercial&specialized banks operating, dominated by Bank Melli Iran, Bank Mellat, Bank Saderat&Bank Sepah. These institutions operate thousands of branches, with Bank Melli being the largest, employing over 43,000 people&acting as a primary national bank. Next targets after banking system will be Kharg Island&electricity generation in all large cities in Iran. Yes, oil&LNG prices will go up which will serve as an incentive for America to drill on Federal lands&South America to gain market share. The Sunni nations will privately thank America for protection from the End of World Iranians despite the inconvenience. All of this will be done from the air without any American soldiers in Iran.

The Strait of Hormuz is not closed. It is sorted. Iran has built a three-tier access system for the most important waterway on earth. Tier one: allies transit free. The 20 percent of global oil that once flowed freely through this strait now flows selectively, conditionally, and in currencies chosen by Tehran. Iran lost its air force. It lost its navy. It lost two thirds of its production capacity. It retained the only thing that matters: 39 kilometres of coastline on both sides of the narrowest point. The US Navy will not enter. Chinese tankers will. And the sorting algorithm processes another vessel, collects another yuan payment, and demonstrates once more that geography is the one military asset that cannot be degraded by precision strikes.
