Please don’t go @Keir_Starmer I can only begin to imagine how difficult it must be, the sense of betrayal, but the vast majority of the rank and file are with you, and millions across the country too. Look at the recent surge in membership. They’ve joined to vote for you, no-one else. You are successfully turning this country around. Now is not the time to stop if you can summon up the extra energy required. #StandWithStarmer

The sheer volume of X posts backing SKS give me hope that he would beat any challenger in a membership vote. Brits naturally hate disloyalty & inflated egos and that alone gives Starmer the edge. I truly hope he fights to the finish & that the traitors get a nasty surprise.

Each department in government will now have its own delivery unit, led by a senior civil servant. And every Secretary of State and Minister of State will be given a new “delivery advisor” in their private office to support this work. These new delivery functions will be accountable to both their Secretary of State and to my team. This builds on my recent work setting up the new joint No10 and Cabinet Office Delivery Unit. There’s a complete lack of loyalty. I think Keir Starmer should stay. I think there shouldn't be a leadership contest. And I back Keir Starmer to finish the job that he started, deliver the manifesto that he got elected on. Yes, things have been tough. Yes, he's made mistakes. The background in the world with Trump 2.0, the Iran war, all that kind of stuff, hasn't helped, but our economy grew very strongly in the 1st quarter, and that news was out just this week, yesterday, and things aren't that bad. But it's been painted that way. gbnews.com/politics/dale-…

Disgusting Islamophobia on the “Unite the Kingdom” march yesterday. A good time to reach out to Muslim friends in solidarity. We will not allow our great country to be infected by Islamophobia and antisemitism. Bigotry and hate are not British values. And never will be.

@LeaderofKCC What about those who are working in poorly paid jobs or relying on food banks? Do you really begrudge children having a good start to the day?

At Gillas Lane Primary, the new free breakfast club is delivering calmer classrooms, higher standards and happier children. Labour is rolling out breakfast clubs across England to give every child the best possible start to the school day.

This attack on Breakfast Clubs from a Reform council leader is ignorant. Breakfast clubs aren't just about nutrition, they mean the child is more ready for formal classroom learning as they have already been in a school environment for c45 mins. They enable working parents to get to work earlier and earn more. And having visited some in my constituency it is obvious the children enjoy being there!
Linden Kemkaran@LeaderofKCC

Sorry, call me old fashioned but I believe it’s the parents’ job to give their child the best possible start to the school day.

Starmer DESERVES his mandate for 5 years and to be judged only then. It’s undemocratic to do otherwise. He planned for 5 years to deliver: the Labour MPs have shafted him. Stand with Starmer @LBC @BBCNews
