@brandonburnettt @TheSteinLine Slovenians are clearly healthier in the head than Americans based on these comments

@TheSteinLine Oh boy. I guarantee Slovenia will take this well and not blame anyone… 😬

@FortyCal12 @DraftExpress All they have to do is acknowledge where the news came from
English

@DraftExpress You expect them to not report transfer portal news? 😂😂😂😂 wtf are we talking about man

@DraftExpress @DraftExpress NCAA have any concerns about this holding up in court?
English

Big implications, not just for international players but Americans too. Many US families are now reclassing down in 9th grade to arrive at college later, often after an extra prep year. Several American freshmen turned 20 before playing a college game. Huge downstream effects.
Jonathan Givony@DraftExpress
Major eligibility news from @RossDellenger: the NCAA is considering a hard 5-year clock starting at age 19. Older international pros can still come to college, but their window to play shrinks. Big implications for the international pipeline. Rule could be passed soon.

Two coaches.
Two completely different styles.
One championship stage.
Dan Hurley and Dusty May couldn’t appear more different.
Hurley is loud, fiery, and unapologetically intense. He coaches with passion on full display—every possession, every call, every moment.
May is calm, measured, and composed. He leads with poise—steady, deliberate, and rarely rattled.
One is expressive and animated.
The other is reserved and calculated.
And yet… both are elite.
Both are brilliant tacticians.
Both are masterful recruiters.
Both have built championship cultures.
And most importantly—both LOVE their players… and their players love them right back.
That’s the lesson.
There is no ONE way to lead.
Not in basketball.
Not in business.
Not in life.
Leadership isn’t about copying someone else’s style. It’s about owning your style.
Your personality.
Your strengths.
Your voice.
Because authenticity builds trust.
And trust builds teams that win.
Don’t try to lead like Hurley.
Don’t try to lead like May.
Lead like you.

Dan Hurley on the two personas every head coach must master:
The Jockey 🏇, and the Corner Man. 🥊
In practice — you are the jockey. You push. You challenge. You demand more than they think they have. You stretch them past comfort so execution becomes inevitable.
On game night — you become the corner man. You steady. You simplify. You remind them who they are. Confidence replaces correction.
Preparation is where you build them.
Performance is where you believe in them.

@Coach_Hickey5 So the solution is don't pay them $500k and then let them go work a desk job for $75k to avoid the depression of having had but lost it? How about just require financial education classes?

I love Dan Hurley as a coach, he's one of my favorites (so was Coach Knight) but we all realize this stuff is going to come to a head eventually don't we? There's no way this type of behavior doesn't come back to bite him at some point ... right?? Can we all agree??

@DCitySportsNews @TheHoopHerald You have a coach in your own conf. who’s been coaching 7+ footers in a low post-heavy system for over a decade straight, and is graduating his All American post scorer after graduating another 2x NPOY post scorer, but you think Michigan is the obvious choice?
I have bad news….

Love to hear a former player give Doc Rivers his props

Former NBA All-Star Jamal Mashburn has built a massive post-retirement business empire valued at roughly $500 million, owning over 100 franchises as of 2026. His diversified portfolio includes 40 Papa John's, 38 Outback Steakhouses, Dunkin' Donuts locations, and multiple luxury car dealerships---That is F-U money

@UnethicalHero @ThisIsJay216 They don't man, just bc someone makes up a ranking doesn't mean it's legitimate. The only age where most legitimate scouts might be aware of all the top talent in the world and be able to accurately rank them is high school & that's shaky & political.

@CJMooreHoops @tyler_rucker Glad you finally got this done fam! Great work

I’ve thought Darryn Peterson needed to share his story. People would understand if they knew what really happened. On Friday, I got him to share about the day he ended up in the hospital and how that’s hung over his time at KU. His story (free to read): nytimes.com/athletic/71274…
