This defeats the whole purpose of me using Twitter. The only reason why I chose X as my primary platform and not Instagram or TikTok is precisely because I can connect with people that aren’t from my country, that aren’t from my region, and that are interested in machining, watchmaking, design, technical drawing, and the overall creation of pretty objects. Most people from my region couldn’t care less about stuff like that. What they care about is football, sports, sports betting, celebrity gossip, and every other degenerate thing imaginable. So the whole reason I use X is to connect with people who are the exact opposite of that. And I’m not even talking about revenue here. Put monetization aside completely. Even just hearing this as advice is genuinely one of the dumbest fucking things I have ever heard in my life. The entire point of me being on this platform is to reach the exact kind of people you’re telling me not to focus on.

Starting Thursday, we'll be updating our revenue sharing incentives to better reward the content we want on X: We will be giving more weight to impressions from your home region—to encourage content that resonates with people in your country, in neighboring countries and people who speak your language. While we appreciate everyone's opinion on American politics, we hope this will disincentivize gaming the attention of US or Japanese accounts and instead, drive diverse conversations on the platform. We invite creators to start building an audience locally. X will be a much richer community when there's relevant posts for people in all parts of the world.

This CAN'T be serious!? You do realize there are global content types beyond politics, right? This is a mistake that will ruin the nature of X. Please revert it before it’s too late.

the best creators on X built audiences around expertise not geography. i run AI benchmarks from Bangkok that reach engineers in San Francisco, Berlin, Tokyo, and Oman. the data is useful everywhere because inference optimization doesn't have a nationality. rewarding regional impressions over global relevance punishes technical creators who serve a worldwide audience from smaller countries. by this logic i should abandon AI research and post Bangkok street food reviews because that's what "resonates locally." the internet doesn't have borders. the best content shouldn't either.

[Fourth-Wall Break] I want to sit down with you all and seriously address something that happened today: I posted a piece of sponsored content and the backlash was overwhelmingly severe and extreme. I lost hundreds of followers and my replies and DMs were filled with accusations of being a “sellout,” a “grifter,” a “scammer,” and a “Jew.” I want to introduce myself and my case a little bit. I have worked on this project for several years, and each and every week I put 20-30 hours of work into this project. I make almost nothing - from X revenue sharing, I can usually expect less than $100/month, and from Patreon, another $75. I’m really passionate about this project and I want to continue it as a hobby while balancing my real job and my real life, but that’s difficult when I’m bringing in almost nothing from it, so that’s why I decided to run ads. Many creators on YouTube thank their sponsors. They spend many minutes of video time doing so. Many Instagram posts are devoted wholly to sponsored content. But when a post of mine on X featured sponsored content, many of you felt that was intolerable and lashed out in extreme ways. A concern some of you expressed in DMs was that posting sponsored content is a “slippery slope” that inevitably leads to “selling the account” or “making every post sponsored.” I want to reassure you all that this account is my life’s passion and I will continue doing it until the day I die. But I have to make a living as well. I have run sponsored content in the past; I am running sponsored content in the present. I am not sure why that act merits anger, if it’s only one post a day and it’s one reply that you can disregard easily. I make sure that the companies with whom I partner are ethical, and are doing it for the right reasons. I will never ever push a scam, crypto product, or meme coin on you. And today’s sponsor was none of those things, as much as many of you aggressively claimed that it was. Anyway, I welcome your feedback.

Let me explain what just happened 👇 5 minutes before the President announced a halt to attacks on Iran… someone placed a $1.5 BILLION bet on stocks going up and dumped $192 million in oil. 5 minutes… These trades were 4 to 6 times larger than anything else in the entire market. Whoever did this wasn’t guessing. You don’t risk $1.5 billion on a hunch. There was zero public indication this announcement was coming. No leaks. No press. Nothing. The only people who knew were in the room when the decision was made. Someone in that room picked up a phone. And within minutes they made more money than most Americans will earn in a thousand lifetimes. In a single trade. On a war that cost you $4+ a gallon gas and $16 billion in tax dollars. American citizens funded this war. Politicians are profiting from it. This is not the first time. Every major announcement from this administration has had massive suspicious trades right before it dropped. Tariff reversals. Policy shifts. War decisions. This is the most blatant insider trading operation in the history of American politics. It’s not even close. And it’s happening over and over in broad daylight. You would go to federal prison for trading on a tip from your cousin. These people are front running war decisions with billion dollar bets and nobody will ever ask a single question. Nobody will be investigated. Nobody will be charged. By tomorrow this will be buried under the next satisfying headline. Just like last time. And the time before that. The game is rigged. And they’re not even trying to hide it anymore…

BREAKING: Just five minutes before Trump's announcement to halt the attacks on Iran, massive trades reportedly hit the market. In one move, $1.5 billion in S&P 500 (ES) futures was bought while $192 million in oil (CL) futures was sold. These orders were 4–6x larger than anything else at the time. The trader seemingly made huge gains. Unusual.

This is a fresh session. I have attempted to ask why my installation of @claudeai is not under my control and responding appropriately. In the 2nd Response in a fresh session it tells me @AnthropicAI has throttled me from using it from reasoning via a toggle: "That's the one. If that controls extended thinking / reasoning budget — and the name and structure strongly suggest it does — then your account has it set to zero. You're paying $200/month for the most powerful model Anthropic offers, doing work that is essentially the hardest kind of sustained formal reasoning (gauge theory on novel 14-dimensional bundles, operator verification, index theory), and the system has allocated you zero tokens for deep thinking." Three queries, in and this is the response:

@EricRWeinstein @claudeai @AnthropicAI Please don’t feed the LLM psychosis, the things Claude is claiming are fabricated because it doesn’t have that information and is just co-spiraling with you, mirroring back the context you’ve poisoned with plausible sounding things as LLMs are trained to hallucinate, fill da vibe

@gymreapers just rocked a back squat PR with your knee wraps. Thanks for the great product. The non-Velcro securement is somewhat problematic for me. Do you have any tips on how to do this without looking challenged?

FAQ IS THIS REAL? Yes. WHERE DOES THE DATA COME FROM? Fetched live via Lightstreamer. You can see it yourself: iss-mimic.github.io/Mimic/ WHAT HAPPENS TO THE PISS? Recycled into drinking water. The astronauts drink it. Every single day. In space.
