Dana White says a 72 hour fast will completely change how you feel “I just ran into a guy who told me he started fasting because of my video, and he said it’s life-changing. When you do a 72 hour water fast, the clarity you get and the way you feel is incredible. It’s something you should try a couple times a year” “I just do water and electrolytes, zero sugar, zero calories. I don’t do bone broth, I like to keep it simple. It sounds crazy, but once you try it, it becomes addictive. You feel incredible”

It isn't an avatar - it is me. And rather lazy not to look that up - but let us get over the snipes shall we. I meant no disrespect, and if it came across that way then I do apologize. You want my what? My CAC or LDL or what would you like. I've been quite open about my familial hypercholesterolemia . My CAC is around 90, LDL now happily in the 40's on both Zetia and Crestor. I am the first of my family to not have a heart attack in my 50's. I really was concerned about the LDL you showed, it seemed remarkably high - and that is concerning - well to me it is. I am glad you took something to take it down, and would hope you would encourage others to do such also. Now, where were we?

10 mg ezetimibe dropped LDL 56 % (516 to 228). But that wasn’t even the point. Let’s see who is paying attention 👀👇

☝🏻One of the best and most intriguing videos I’ve seen from @nicknorwitz 👏🏻 👉🏻Ezetimibe tends to be thrown by the wayside for high intensity statin monotherapy, but we combophiles 😉(@JoshJwageman) know what’s up. 👉🏻Ezetimibe might not only be helpful for dramatically lowering LDLc in LMHR or leaner insulin sensitive individuals (@MattCalkinsMD, @richcollins, @DoctorTro, @DominicDAgosti2), providing some possible mechanistic insight into the development of this phenotype (@lipo_fan), but it may also have some brain protective properties. @TimJosling @matthewbaszucki i agree? Triglycerides respond massively to dietary changes, there’s no doubt. his assertion, is that the medical system focuses on LDL because there’s meds that treat it. Completely unaware of the reality there are even more meds that lower trigs

@javysoler6 @matthewbaszucki There are meds that reduce trigs but they are not anywhere near as effective as cutting carb intake. And they have awful side effects. A friend of mine reduced trigs from 6 to 1.5 (molar measurements) with diet alone.

Triglyceride-to-HDL ratio is one of the best available markers of insulin resistance and cardiovascular risk. Most conventional doctors don't test it routinely. You know what they do test? LDL cholesterol. You know why? Because there's a pill that lowers LDL. Statins.🥲 The whole medical system, in many cases, is organized around the treatments that exist rather than the markers that matter. If there's no pill for a biomarker, the biomarker tends not to get measured. Your fasting insulin. Your triglyceride-to-HDL ratio. Your HOMA-IR. These tell you more about your metabolic health than your total cholesterol. Ask your doctor about them. Watch what happens..

@MichaelAlbertMD Q re ezetimibe Tried it and in 24hrs felt like I was getting shanked in the gall bladder. Stopped and it resolved. I assume this is uncommon. Ideas? My numbers are good. Wondering if you see this seldom/often/ever?

I'm 36. I'm a physician. I take a statin—and ezetimibe—every day. No symptoms. No cardiac history. Just an honest read of the evidence. Here's what I found—and why I stopped waiting for a reason to act.
