This is true, and it reflects a common confusion in sexual psychology: that sexual life works almost entirely, or primarily, on some kind of hydraulic release model. And it is no less absurd to believe that a man with some excessive attachment to pornography, or to any other sexual activity, is going to be cured by sexual activity than it is to believe that an alcoholic will be cured by drinking more of some specific kind of alcohol, or that an obese glutton will be cured by eating more of some specific kind of food and drink.
This psychological trap we fall into around pleasure-related excesses is almost always, at best, useless and, at worst, positively harmful.
