5 acres of prime public land in the heart of BKC — worth thousands of crores — has effectively been converted into a private retreat for MMRDA officers and their families. The so-called “City Park”, developed using taxpayers’ money as a green lung for the people of Bandra East and surrounding areas, is today shut to the very citizens who paid for it. I personally visited the park today and was shocked to see that public access is restricted through the ‘Jetwan’ staff quarters of MMRDA. While the common Mumbaikar struggles to find open spaces to walk, exercise or let their children play, a select group of bureaucrats is enjoying exclusive access to sprawling gardens, state-of-the-art tennis courts and cricket turfs — all maintained using public funds. To make matters worse, MMRDA recently even hosted exclusive sports events for officers inside this restricted park. This is not governance. This is entitlement. Mumbai’s public spaces cannot become the private playgrounds of unelected Babus. The MMRDA Commissioner must immediately explain: • Under what authority has public access to this park been restricted? • Why is taxpayers’ money being spent on maintaining facilities inaccessible to taxpayers themselves? • Who took the decision to convert a public amenity into a closed officers’ enclave? The people of Mumbai deserve answers. Public land belongs to the public — not to a privileged few sitting in government quarters.

⚠️ Bought Whole Farm roasted Channa from Blinkit. Even after washing it multiple times, it’s still leaving yellow colour in the water 😠 Saw a page on insta - unfiltered.haribros video highlighting the same issue. Is this artificial dye or something? Not feeling safe consuming it. @letsblinkit please clarify or take action on quality! #WholeFarm #Blinkit #Chana #FoodSafety
This is supposed to be a healthy snack, not a chemical one. Anyone else faced this?

Nvidia market cap = $5T India total listed market cap = $4.97T That means a single company in US has higher market cap than all indian listed companies combined but that's not the most worrying part for India. The most worrying part is that around 33% of Nvidia Engineers are from India and not only from IIT or NIT kind of colleges but most of them are from tier 3 colleges. That's what you achieve if you provide good infrastructure, good work culture, good retirement support to taxpayers and security, even people from tier 3 college can be motivated enough to build world's most valuable company. Nationalism, make in India won't work if you use it only as slogans in election rallies. First build infra, build support, build respect for taxpayers, Indians are making outside, they'll make in India too.

₹19,000 crore. That is what Banks collected in last 3 years just for not maintaining ‘Minimum Account Balance.’ Not from the rich. Not from big borrowers. From the poorest accounts in the system. Their crime? They didn’t have enough money. A farmer misses the minimum balance - Penalty. A pensioner withdraws money for medicine - Penalty. A daily wage worker falls short by a few hundred rupees - Penalty. The poor keep money in banks for safety. Not to be quietly fined for being poor. Financial inclusion should protect small savings, not punish small balances. In Parliament today I proposed ending minimum balance penalties so the banking system stops charging people for their poverty.

Here’s a clear explanation of why Trump attacked Iran, and why I think the war will end soon. The war isn't about nuclear weapons. It's not about helping the Iranian people. It’s not about doing Israel’s bidding. And it's not about Iran being a threat to the U.S. It's about China. China imports 45-57% of its oil through the Strait of Hormuz. Iran has the capacity to shut it down. A U.S.-aligned Iran means an Iran that would choke off that strait if there's ever a real power struggle between Washington and Beijing. And there already is one. The U.S. and China have been locked in a tariff war for over a year now. Also remember when China threatened export controls on rare earths, encompassing any company anywhere in the world that uses Chinese rare earths? Yes, China essentially said that any company that uses their rare earths (China refines 85-90% of the world’s supply) must seek their permission before exporting their products. This means if a German manufacturer uses rare earths fro China to create chips for American companies, China can block the export of these chips. That’s how much leverage China has over the U.S., and that’s dangerous, especially if China finally decides to reunify with Taiwan. So controlling the Strait of Hormuz becomes critical for the U.S. It's the same reason Trump wants China out of the Panama Canal. The same reason Venezuela matters. The same reason he's eyeing Greenland, where shipping routes to China pass through melting Arctic ice. Energy is everything now. The AI arms race is the most important strategic competition on the planet. Limiting China's access to energy is how the U.S. wins that race, and anyone who believes in freedom and democracy should want America to win. China is investing heavily in domestic energy, building nuclear reactors, solar farms, wind power. They're leapfrogging the rest of the world. But they still import the majority of their oil. And a significant chunk of it comes through the Strait of Hormuz. Iran was reportedly nearing a deal for supersonic anti-ship cruise missiles from China, which would make it easier for Iran to threaten shipping in the Strait and strike U.S. naval vessels. That accelerated the timeline. Trump's comment today about doing in Iran what he did in Venezuela makes perfect sense in this context. He wants influence over who comes next. A regime that's workable for Washington. If he succeeds, this would be a massive strategic win for the U.S. and for Trump.

12–13 hours stranded on the Mumbai–Pune Expressway. ZERO information. ZERO facilities. No public announcement. No guidance to avoid travel or take a U-turn. IRB continued collecting tolls while passengers were left stranded for hours without water, toilets, or medical aid.
Helplines went unanswered. Officials vanished. VVIP convoys got priority. Common citizens got chaos.
This is not inconvenience, this is criminal mismanagement.
Refund tolls to all affected motorists. Fix accountability. #MumbaiPuneExpressway #IRB #TollLoot #PublicMisery #GovernanceFailure

A Gen Z joined the team. Week one. During onboarding, the manager said, “We sometimes stay late during peak periods.” Gen Z nodded. Then asked, “Is that paid… or just expected?” The room went quiet. - No attitude. - No rebellion. - Just a question. Later that day, HR mentioned “growth opportunities.” Gen Z replied, “Does growth include raises, or just more responsibility?” Again, silence. - No laziness. - No entitlement. - Just clarity. That’s when the team realized something. When people say “Gen Z is lazy,” what they really mean is: Gen Z watched old generation - skip meals, - miss birthdays, - work weekends, - and burn out only to be told “budgets are tight” and “be grateful you have a job.” So Gen Z chose differently. - They don’t romanticize overwork. - They don’t confuse suffering with ambition. - They don’t trade health for praise. They still work hard. They just refuse to work for nothing. It’s not laziness. It’s pattern recognition. And honestly, after everything old generation went through… Can you really blame them?

This happens everyday. But @mybmc officials said the signage is fine ( in india the people are always wrong). And politicians will keep changing names! Frankly I was clueless who was acharya atre chowk. Needed foreign google. And Lotus jetty? A joke.
Eternal Drift@drifteternal_

Saw a car reversing in panic on the Coastal Road. Not because the driver is stupid. Because the signage is so tiny and the exit name is Barrister Rajni Patel Junction. No one knows where that is in general, especially not when driving at 80kmph. Use real place names people actually recognise. This is basic wayfinding. @mybmc @MMRDAOfficial @MumbaiPolice

It took me 60 years to finally see the Taj Mahal — yet it never felt like the first time. I’ve seen it through photos, poems, songs… maybe that’s why it felt so familiar. The crowds didn’t let me feel its calm, but ticking it off my list felt good. Wah Taj!

💼 #EPFO now treats your savings like a privilege, not your right. You work for years. Every month, a slice of your salary is taken away as Provident Fund — no consent, no choice. Earlier, if you were unemployed for just 2 months, you could access your PF. Now? You’ll have to wait 12 months. And for your pension fund — a shocking 36 months. So if you lose your job today, you’re locked out of your own money for an entire year. What kind of “protection” is this? You’re forced to save, but when you actually need those savings, you’re denied access. This isn’t policy reform — it’s bureaucratic punishment disguised as discipline. #EPFO #EmployeesRights #PF #India #Policy
