I'm an aerospace engineer.
I made this prediction over five years ago, and I'm still correct.
I'm not interested in non-engineers trying to explain to me how I'm wrong somehow.
Elon Musk is not an engineer.
Christopher David@Tazerface16
By the way, Starship will never make it into orbit.

@Truthful_ast That it hasn’t proven it can return safely to be reused yet. Especially in references to crewed missions, this is still a daunting milestone. For once, getting to orbit was the easy part.
English

@LigerzeroTTV @WannabeLurker @Tazerface16 Elliptical orbit can be achieved without relighting any engines.
English

@jeffkelehernb @WannabeLurker @Tazerface16 No shit. It means burn to achieve a full orbit and not a suborbital arc.
English

@sck1ng @Tazerface16 We’re not discussing deorbit. We’re discussing making it to orbit
English

@Tazerface16 @jeffkelehernb You said "make it into orbit" and omitted "deorbit". Looking forward to you being proved incorrect.

I was helping to set up a trampoline during third grade gym class and had the whole thing whip back and snap my arm in two. Compound fracture. After having the cast on for two months, x-rays showed the bone had set wrong so they had to rebreak it and reset it. Back then, that involved some heavy-set dude coming in and just pressing the newly set bone to break it again without anesthetic.
English

@WannabeLurker @Tazerface16 @jeffkelehernb No it hasn’t. It’s demonstrated the ability to reach a suborbital arc. It hasn’t demonstrated it would but able to circularize said orbit.
English

@rand_longevity Because the public stopppe caring and funding required public and political support.
English

@jeffkelehernb Because you're a space fan, not an engineer.
I hate space fans.
English

@jeffkelehernb @Tazerface16 He's being a prick because he went to the canoe club. It's beyond his control.
English

@Tazerface16 I don’t know why you’re being so confrontational. I’m trying to discuss in good faith. I already conceded they haven’t proven the ability to return yet.
English

@jeffkelehernb Velocity means nothing.
Control is everything.
How would they have deorbited it, kiddo?
English

@Tazerface16 How so? My understanding is they’ve purposefullly stopped short by a few hundred m/s while still having sufficient fuel to continue if desired.
English

@jeffkelehernb You're wrong.
They haven't proven they can put it into orbit.
English

@MustangMedicX It’s a simulation because cameras can’t see that far. Not sure about the cockpit views. Security, privacy and possible views of them dying during a mishap are factors, I’m sure.
English

@JasonBermas There are independent/amateur astronomers who can track objects, especially if they’re told where they’ll be. It’s more akin to tracking a star than the closeup image you’re yearning for.
English

I will ask again as I got no actual answer yesterday, is there any private citizen or group globally that can independently track this the entire time to verify the authenticity? Not track NASA communications, etc, visually track the entire Artemis journey there and back, start to finish after it circles the earth and leaves low earth orbit? dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1…

@bscholl The Starlink network does not extend to the moon, you silly goose.
English

At government rates, SpaceX could win the contract for a lunar webcast and throw in the rocket for free.
i like teslas@iliketeslas
NASA should hire Spacex to do their video production 😬
English

@TheMarcitect Satisfying conspiracy theorists is not on NASA’s list of priorities. They owe you nothing.
English

@LightAtNightKJ @FFairing Not nearly as much as you think though. Maybe a 25% increase in size a most.
English

@Dino95177184 @DavidKrayden The residential schools happened as documented. The part they “made up” were the “graves”.

A political strategy
avoid hard questions by asking the questions.
Rogan got played.
Like how about asking
- allowing men to compete in women sports? Never got asked.
- trans violence
- Why are taxes so high in Canada?
- Why is Healthcare so bad?
- Why did they make up the Residential school crisis?
So many questions went unanswered because Pierre took over the interview.
Otherwise it was good.

Pierre Poilievre's interview on The Joe Rogan Experience Thursday was interesting in a multitude of ways but was also a textbook example of how the person being interviewed can become the interviewer and completely control the questions being asked! For over 30 minutes, Poilievre grills Rogan on martial arts and UFC.

@CHSommers Sick burn but I think Japan already got burned enough for that.
