BREAKING Airbus has requested immediate precautionary action from all A320 operators to implement a software update to ensure their fleet is safe to fly. Analysis of a recent event involving an A320 Family aircraft has revealed that intense solar radiation may corrupt data critical to the functioning of flight controls. Airbus has consequently identified a significant number of A320 Family aircraft currently in-service which may be impacted. Airbus has worked proactively with the aviation authorities to request immediate precautionary action from operators via an Alert Operators Transmission (AOT) in order to implement the available software and/or hardware protection, and ensure the fleet is safe to fly. This AOT will be reflected in an Emergency Airworthiness Directive from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). Airbus acknowledges these recommendations will lead to operational disruptions to passengers and customers. They apologise for the inconvenience caused and will work closely with operators, while keeping safety as their number one and overriding priority.

I use FSD for over 2 hours of travel every day around the Philadelphia area and have never experienced an issue as bad as this one. Any ideas why it chose the completely wrong lane? Has anyone ever experienced anything like this?

@_Faraz @bscholl I don’t think this is the case… Flaps 0 would have caused a delayed liftoff, which doesn’t seem to have happened. Furthermore, it would be easier to accelerate with no flaps, making a stall highly unlikely.

@bscholl Flaps at 0…. Once beyond ground effect no way to stop that decline other than to get those flaps down.

@Mikkeall1171 @MKBHD I can give you more than 5 every day times that you need 'zoom like that'. Everything kids do at school, bird watching during a walk, airplane watching if your house is in a flight path, capturing sunsets and sunrises, watching sport games, tracking the moon, whale watching.

Got to watch my little cousin graduate from college this weekend, which was amazing. I also felt like I was in a Samsung commercial - EVERY SINGLE parent is zoomed in as far as they can on their phone. Parents behind me asking me "whoa, what phone is that? The zoom is amazing! I need it!" about the S25 Ultra 😅

@TheTrentHarvey You can easily single-engine taxi at any weight in it. On the NG, I generally don’t try unless we’re below 150k lbs

Unpopular opinion, but it’s the MAX. I know the MAX has a bad reputation, but I far prefer it to the NG. After they fixed the MCAS issue, it became very safe. It’s smoother on the controls, quieter, more efficient & the cockpit layout is nicer. Radar is better, too.
