SACRAMENTO: MOMENTS OF EVIL - THE CASE OF DAVID ALLEN FUNSTON The case of David Allen Funston underscores the real-world consequences of the California Board of Parole Hearings and how early release policies are being applied in California. This is more than just a case. It’s part of a much bigger issue that we’ll be addressing shortly. Stay tuned, as additional information will be shared during a press conference later this morning.

@Fxhedgers @profstonge Do we trust the numbers coming out of West Taiwan or are the numbers based on reasonable estimates of GDP growth?

@tshugart3 @MrTubbsCousin Occasionally on tough ship patrols in the Atlantic we would also be treated with surf & turf and it was wonderful. God forbid those of us that did serve and those serving now get to eat like normal people once in awhile…

@profstonge No love for California, Washington, Oregon, parts of Nevada & Arizona? How long do we have before our “green” policies come home to roost?

Will we see 1970’s oil shortages? Thanks to Trump, America doesn’t need Middle East oil. But Asia needs it to survive. India runs out in 1 month. Thailand and Vietnam in 2. China runs out in 3. At which point they’ll start shutting down their economies.

@SenStricklandCA @CASenReps Not just the taxes; we also can only get gasoline/diesel via ships (and inefficiently via trucks/trains) No pipelines run into our market. Either our refineries being environmentally regulated out of business, we’re looking down the barrel of long term high(er) prices.

California gas hit $5.20 a gallon today. Meanwhile, Arkansas, Kansas, and Missouri are under $3. Don’t let the governor gaslight you. California drivers always pay more because we have the highest gas tax. Support my Gas Tax Relief Bill by signing my survey. This is a short-term fix. Link in bio to fill out the survey. I’ve also called on the governor to convene a special session for long-term solutions. #caleg #FixCalifornia #gasprices @CASenReps

“Non-violent” and we’re supposed to believe Newsom’s crime stats? (Not @sacsheriff’s fault imho)

SUSPECT ARRESTED AFTER PURSUIT AND COLLISION WITH POLICE VEHICLE Last night at approximately 9 PM, Deputies from the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office Central Patrol Division observed a vehicle committing several traffic violations near 15th Avenue and 42nd Street in South Sacramento. Deputies attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver, 33-year-old Ricky Harding, chose not to stop and led Deputies on a vehicle pursuit. During the pursuit, Harding turned off his headlights in an attempt to recklessly conceal his vehicle in the darkness. While driving southbound on 43rd Street, he drove through a stop sign at 8th Avenue and collided with an uninvolved Sacramento Police Department patrol vehicle. The police vehicle was forced into a residential fence due to the collision, and Harding’s vehicle subsequently caught fire. Instead of surrendering, Harding exited the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot, but he was quickly apprehended by Deputies. The Sacramento City Fire Department responded to the scene and extinguished the vehicle fire. Fortunately, the Sacramento Police officer involved in the collision was not injured. Harding was medically cleared at a local hospital and booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail, where he is being held on $500,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in court on March 10. California law classifies his offenses as “non-violent,” therefore his booking photo is not available for public release.
