@StephenHea84040 @LosTalksPats Sort of working under the theory that trading picks a year out usually gets you better returns, like how Brown might be worth a 2028 first but not a 2027 first (draft class quality notwithstanding)
English

Should the #Patriots extend WR Kayshon Boutte?
Year 1
🔹85 Pass Snaps
🔹7 Targets
🔹2 Receptions
🔹19 Yards
🔹0 TDs
Year 2
🔹507 Pass Snaps

🔹3 TDs
Year 3
🔹521 Pass Snaps

@PatsPlanet_ KC early, past that I could care less
Would love an opener @ Seahawks for the extra rest time and eating the cross country travel early
English

Officially 2 more weeks until we get the #Patriots schedule release. Who would you like to get week 1?
English

@jailedamanda John Williams might be better at his job than anyone else has ever been at anything

@CFBNumbers The fact he’s a Manning is more or less a guarantee he’s media-savvy and likely to survive being thrown into big media markets like the Jets, party cities like Miami, or sad sacks like Cleveland
It actually does matter, and it’s a positive
English

@KleaverSports but don’t worry: two of those were in a snowstorm and his shoulder was also hurt for at least the last two lol
man will be extremely, totally, and completely fine
English

Imagine the whiplash of facing a light schedule to then 4 top-10 (maybe top-5) defenses in a row in the playoffs for a 2nd year QB with no weapons
💫@NewMediaSports_
“How good was 2 year Drake Maye”
English

@Nate_Tice The great tank-off of 2026 between the Jets, Dolphins, Cardinals, and probably Browns is going to be the stuff of legend
Both Jets-Dolphins games are gonna look like world war one
English

@dalydoseknicks @ShamsCharania Cutting salary to 44% of what it was and being 92% as good (even ignoring the Tatum injury) is the kind of thing that absolutely should win awards
English

@ShamsCharania Never heard of a guy winning an award for making his team worse.
English

@grantcohn @Mauerback Unfortunately if you draft the best QB in the class with any pick you get an A even if the rest of it is atrocious
It's the exception that proves the rule though
English

@dfbsport @patri0ts3 unironically yes, keep Maye alive and let cheap, mediocre WRs get separation on the deep throws he excels at, while having a really good run game to keep people honest
English

@patri0ts3 yeah man let’s spend a 3rd consecutive 1st round pick on the offensive line while we let the entire WR room hinge on a 30 year old with knee issues remaining healthy and himself for 17+ games 👍
English

@DarthRaider916 @NFTzak @JoeA_NFL I think “generational” implies some unrivaled skill Mendoza doesn’t have (Allen-tier arm, Williams-tier evasiveness, Luck-tier processing)
He’s the highest floor prospect since Luck but I don’t think his odds of being MVP-caliber are higher than Maye on paper, as prospects alone
English

Thanks for at least conceding Bowers lol
Idk I think Jeanty and Bijan were closer than you think
I was a big fan of Maye but consensus didn’t have him as a generational prospect. Maybe it’s bc Williams got all the hype like you said. And I might be higher on Mendoza but I think he is better than what people think… and most people think he is borderline generational
English

For a prospect to be generational, they would have to be...
A QB better than Drake Maye
A RB better than Bijan Robinson
A WR better than Jamar Chase
A TE better than anything we have seen since Gronk
An OT like Penei Sewell
An OG like Quentin Nelson
A DE like Myles Garrett or at LEAST Aidan Hutchinson
A DT like Aaron Donald
A LB like Sonny Styles
A CB better than Christian Gonzalez
A S better than anyone since Ed Reed
So no. That prospect probably isn't generational.

@Paul_T62 @MikeReiss punter, and at this level of the draft the talent levels are pretty similar so just go buckshot
English

@MikeReiss Mike - what is the value of trading down five picks for an additional seventh round pick when they already have seventh round picks?
English

@grill_matthew @KevyBones @tkyles39 Those are efficiency stats, and you lose efficiency with volume
He’ll likely stay leading the league in those next year too because teams have to respond to the run
It also helps our goal line offense which was real bad last year
English

The #Patriots could have one of the most fun heavy personnel offenses in the NFL
RB: Rhamondre Stevenson, TreVeyon Henderson
FB: Reggie Gilliam
TE: Hunter Henry, Julian Hill, Eli Raridon, Caleb Lomu
