More than one thing can be true at once, and more than one thing usually is true at once. If we could accept this, there would be less identity-based group-against-group fighting. Here's a big example: Gen Z "versus" older people (they call everyone older than them boomers whether we are or not). These two things are true at the same time. 1. The cost of housing and basic living expenses today is far higher, inflation adjusted, than it's been in living memory. It is objectively harder, or impossible, for younger people starting out to find an affordable house to buy. OK. Gen Z, I gave you your due. Recognize that, and be willing to hear a place that you are wrong, too. It's only fair. 2. Young people have inflated and vastly unrealistic ideas about what a "basic lifestyle" is. They really do think that eating lunch out every work day is normal, that doordashing is normal, and that they "can't afford to eat." Not true. They have expectations of never having to cook from basic ingredients, or never having to pack a bagged lunch, that other generations did not have. Both things are true at the same time. -J

I think President Trump made an unwise decision in endorsing Ken Paxton today because Paxton could lose the Texas Senate seat to Talarico. I hope enough Texas Republicans thank the president for his advice and vote for @JohnCornyn during early voting now and next week. GOP needs him and the seat.

They attend free public schools like any other child living in the district. They are not classified as international F-1 students, so they do not count toward international student caps or pay higher “international” tuition at the K-12 level After high school, they can often qualify for in-state tuition. They apply as domestic students not international We have to change our laws to close this loophole, especially knowing the H-1B Visa program is being abused to drastically

Transgender activists showed up en masse to a board meeting, screaming and shouting, before board members erupted, telling them they have no one to blame but their activist teacher, who tried to include the song. Good on the school for doing the right thing!
