@awfulannouncing must say I’m a little surprised that whatever software ESPN has for score tracking can’t match up the two scores displayed for McIlroy … on back to back shots even.

Once again, the total lack of even basic logic/intelligence in the comments to this post make me fear for humanity and understand why it was so incredibly easy for the overloads (ESPN) to destroy college football for their own profit… 😡🤦‍♂️🤮🤷‍♂️

@MySportsUpdate They need to cut the pricing for Sunday Ticket then - I did a promotional offer last year trying it for the first time - way too many Sundays where the late slate of games was minimal and Sunday Ticket was rarely needed.

The NFL’s viewpoint on adding more games to standalone windows, including Wednesdays, is that “more football for fans is only a good thing,” NFL executive Hans Schroeder said today. The league believes that is being validated by the ratings it continues to generate. At this point, the league does not appear to believe there’s a tipping point where it starts to feel excessive.

@awfulannouncing This is stupid … best way to increase their chance at having five playoff games is to lose this game and risk dropping outside the top 8 … so might as well win the damn game.

"If we live in a world where Ohio State and Michigan rest their starters for that game at the end of the season, because they've got the potential of five playoff games still sitting in front of them, then college football, as we have known it, ceases to exist." - Mike Greenberg

@hawkblogger @FieldGulls Looks like a good schedule but until I see how the new OC does calling plays and that there’s no significant drop off in RB production this is a bit of a wild card in my mind.

@poppaspicks @GolfDigest I’m sure a lot of the dense comments are from those who don’t watch the video and it doesn’t help that Golf Digest highlights in the post what I’m sure they knew was the comment that would generate the most engagement. Personally, I thought he took responsibility for it nicely.

@GolfDigest Lot of dense comments. If he showed up and his watch was reading 7:18 (or whatever his tee time was) then he's "on time". Since it was 7:18 and not 7:19, then he assumed he was on time, not late.

"I was there on time, but the rule is, if you're one second late, you're late. So if you think about it, I was there on time, if you know what I mean." Garrick Higgo spoke to the media about his two-stroke penalty for arriving late to his tee time.

@CorbinSmithNFL Let’s face it … if you’re a network with NFL rights you’re not going to do any hard hitting reporting, if any at all, on the topic you’re referring to.

I'm a little surprised that the NFL decided to roll with the Super Bowl rematch given what has transpired for the Patriots past month and change. But it'll still sell. Get lots of eyeballs.

Schedule leak: The 2026 NFL season will begin with a Super Bowl rematch between the #Patriots and #Seahawks in Seattle, per @Schultz_Report. That game is on Wednesday night, Sept. 9, 2026.

@therealTM_1 They sure did - if the playoffs had been 24 teams they would have played 4 rounds to win it as well.

Two things that will absolutely happen if there is a 24-team CFP. * Players will demand to be paid more to play an extra round of games. * Agents of some top picks will recommend they opt out rather than take on the extra injury risk. Even NFL players don’t play 5 rounds.

@RickMoyerPA @slmandel Yup - and in a 24 team bracket only Miami of those three would play an extra game - the others would still cap out at 4 games based on how they were seeded.

@StMartinReb @slmandel You’re right … the bracket I brought up for a quick view was actually a CBS Sports podcasted projection of who they were picking to win - I even stared at it for awhile asking myself about Ole Miss but old enough now I’m quick to doubt my own memory lol

@slmandel I’ve been following you too long - I knew you’d jump to Miami as an example and yet it was still the only one out of 12 teams to play 4 rounds. With Indiana and Oregon being the only ones that had to play 3 rounds. Of course in the end agents will always ask for more money.

@SawyerMerritt @Tesla I’d like to see some discounts for packages - FSD w/Premium Connectivity get a discount - add Windshield Protection get a little extra off.

Some FSD-related options/features I think would be cool if @Tesla offered: 1) Annual FSD subscription: starting at $999/year (price goes up in future as FSD gets better). 2) Short term pass for rental fleets/Turo: When an individual rents a Tesla, they may not want to pay $99 for a full month FSD subscription, especially if they are just renting for a weekend. Tesla could offer short-term FSD passes that last a few days, with the option to extend if needed. Just make sure first time FSD users take a quick tutorial. 3) FSD family plan: If a family/household already owns a Tesla with FSD and purchases a second Tesla, offer FSD on the additional vehicle at a slightly discounted monthly rate. 4) FSD Leaderboards: Tesla has already started gamifying FSD a bit by showing owners their total FSD miles and usage percentage. Take it a step further with global and/or regional leaderboards that rank drivers by total FSD miles. There are definitely people out there who would love the bragging rights of being among the top global FSD users. I'm sure this would result in Tesla getting even more FSD data quicker. 5) FSD subscription for HW3 Tesla owners for $69/month: These owners helped fund and train FSD, yet they currently can’t access the latest and most capable version of the software, but they pay the same price as someone who can. It’s unclear how V14 Lite will compare to the full V14 experience, but until HW3 owners are able to upgrade to AI4, I think offering them a discount on the monthly FSD subscription seems reasonable.

This happened during the Cubs vs Rangers game. A grounder to first and the first baseman throws home to get the out at home plate. Catcher applies the tag, the runner is called safe. Replay clearly shows the runner is out. The Cubs challenge the call and are confident it is going to be overturned. After replay, the runner is called safe! 🤯 How can the replay booth who has every angle in the book at their disposal (not that you needed more than one) botch this call after the umpire just botched it? Do people lose their jobs over this? Have you seen a more terrible call ever in the replay challenge era?

@BudElliott3 I think there are different levels of expectations among these schools. Are there some who feel EVERY year they should make the CFP - yes. But I think there are some where making it two or three times on average over a four year period.

@TheEXECUTlONER_ Been awhile since I coached youth sports but it’s almost always the adults that make you want to stop - it might be an official, another coach, or the parents - most coaches who enjoy it would be happy to keep coaching … it’s just how long before the adults drive you away

This umpire was calling a 9U baseball game. A player came up to bat and hit a home run. What happened next is anyone’s guess. Most are saying the umpire blew up after he lost his mind and robbed a 9 year old of a home run. What do you think the call should be? Do you think k he blew it big time or do you agree with the call?
