A small but important improvement at London King's Cross Station - @LNER and @NetworkRailEC have jointly funded new platform end screens-when all installed these will provide much improved customer information, particularly when we have two trains sharing a single platform

Today we remember the 10 people who died in the Selby rail crash at Great Heck, 25 years ago on 28 February 2001, shortly after 6am. Six passengers and four railwaymen lost their lives in this tragedy and 80 people were seriously injured. Today railway colleagues will be gathering in Newcastle and Selby to remember.

After several weeks of Digital Railway work, the East Coast is fully open this weekend! Here's some photos of work completed by @NetworkRailEC over recent weeks to deliver a more reliable railway-points, track, drainage, bridge deck and overhead line renewal work @LNER

A great summary of some of the improvements being made along the East Coast Main Line by @networkrail @NetworkRailEC improving both capacity and performance for @LNER and other operators

In addition to Digital Railway work @NetworkRailEC have also completed upgrades over recent weekends including 11km of overhead line, nearly 1km or rerailing, points refurbishment, scrap rail removal & drainage/vegetation clearance-all to make the railway more reliable @LNER

@Captain_Deltic @SteveWhiteRail @LNER @NetworkRailEC So much effort went into making sure we had the people to do the job, they knew all about the changes and what they needed to do, and where required giving them the tools to work more effectively. All about nailing the operational basics, and it's worked..!

What we overlooked was that drivers would drive hard, controllers and signallers run the railway and platform teams hustle station stops. John, how about a lessons learnt exercise, this time identifying what went right?

Nice quiet start for the @LNER Service Delivery Team in York ROC on the final morning of 2025. Overall a pretty solid start to the new ECML timetable - but plenty more to do in 2026 to further improve our punctuality with @NetworkRailSCOT @NetworkRailEC Happy New Year all!

A busy week this week in York ROC as we launch the new ECML timetable. Overall, we're doing well, with LNER T-3 so far averaging 63.1% despite some disruption, with a fantastic 82.0% on Monday. Lots to improve, but well done @LNER @networkrail @NetworkRailSCOT @HitachiRailENG

@DrDiscoDave @LNER Hi David. There is an operational reason for this which we are currently working through to amend. We wanted to get the stop positions changed for the new timetable, we now hope to get this changed within the next few weeks. Apologies for this, but we're on it!

Hi @lner could you ask your 5 coach Northbound Azumas to stop at the canopy at Durham rather than right at the North end of the platform, please? Everyone getting off has to walk all the way back to the exit, and everyone getting on has to walk all the way up the platform! Thanks
