BREAKING: SCOTUS just denied our motion to recall the judgment in Louisiana v. Callais, which the Court transmitted prematurely and in contravention of the procedural rules that typically affords litigants 25 days to request a rehearing of a case that was wrongly decided. 1/5

The USA has not only ceased being leader of the free world, it has ceased being a member of the free world. It betrays democratic allies and supports expansionist dictatorships. The only question Americans need to ask themselves is do they want this to continue?

@CharlesPierceF1 @Heminator I am sure it is a witch hunt. But the SPLC deserves it for their activities in trying to suppress speech through pressure campaigns.

@johncalhoom @Heminator They did not misrepresent anything. It's a witch hunt by the shitty administration and the shitty people who support it - all of whom deserve destruction.

I think George W. Bush was genuinely hurt when Kanye said he didn't care about black people. And then genuinely appreciated Kanye's apology

@Heminator No, it's not fraud, because there are no restrictions on how they use donors' money - and most of us who support SPLC recognize the need to get insiders in the organizations to get the truth about their despicable activities. Trump is a piece of shit, and he can burn in hell.

In 2025, New Zealand faced a comparable situation to our own. Equal pay claims were rampaging through the courts on similarly spurious "equal value" grounds, and taxpayers and companies were on the hook for payouts worth billions of dollars. What did they do? 🧵

@posted989 @DerekPederson3 You don't say anything and let local and state officials establish order if people riot. Or "We will wait for the results of the investigation"

@DerekPederson3 This is a very normal statement. Even if Obama knew Michael Brown was guilty, what is he supposed to say about that? “I’m glad he’s dead”? He isn’t Trump. If anything, he’s calling on BLM to not jump the gun and to do activism in a way “that heals”, not one “that wounds”.

I think one of my biggest difference with liberals is that Barack Obama handled Black Lives Matter extremely poorly and the result was inadvertently quite destructive to the country.

@cremieuxrecueil It seems wrong to me that they can ban parts piecemeal, but Congress has to pass a bill intact, and the President can't just choose which pages to sign while vetoing others.

The nature of the Supreme Court's Voting Rights Act decision today is interesting. They ruled to *keep* Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act–so states can't create absurd maps, like Illinois with snakes coming out of Chicago. They just banned the racial affirmative action part.

@Alilaly2 @TheRocketRalph In Canada it is the norm to have real bread in every grocery store. In my experience this is true in large parts of the US as well. I can go to a regular grocery store and get freshly baked bread. Ciabatta, focaccia, sourdough, baguettes, and ten other varieties.

Yesterday I ordered an obscure book and a 20 pound bag of dog food on Amazon. Today it was delivered to my house in rural upstate New York. Remind me again why Jeff Bezos doesn’t deserve to be a billionaire?
