@enosarris Should the Padres make Mason Miller a starter? Would his arm actually detach from the rest of his body if they did?

Crazy to think that this was taken with a regular DSLR and is sitting on one of the astronauts' camera roll. On a normal memory card. Not some special exterior mounted NASA camera. They just pointed the lens out the window and snapped this. Makes it even more real somehow.

Baseball Players: Read This. Shane Battier once explained something every athlete needs to understand about winning. He said during his NBA career he realized 98% of the time he was on the court… he never touched the ball. Only 2% of the time did he actually have it. Yet he was a key piece on championship teams. Because the real impact happened in the 98% no one was watching. In baseball, that looks like: • Taking the extra base • Moving a runner over with a ground ball • Backing up every throw • Winning a 7-pitch at bat even if it ends in an out • Being the loudest guy in the dugout • Sprinting on and off the field • Being in the right spot on defense Everyone notices the home runs. Championship teams are built by the players who dominate the 98% of the game without the ball. Baseball is the ultimate team game. Be the guy your teammates trust when nobody is watching.

That makes sense. I think the franchise model could work quite well. Franchisor provides a software layer and then local franchises with young hustlers who create the service provider relationships. Could even be a way for builders already plugged into those service provider networks to create recurring revenue for themselves to insulate during downswings.

There’s a huge opportunity in solving this problem: The friction of home ownership vs. renting. When you rent, you have a single point-of-contact for all problems. When you own, you have to somehow stay on top of the long list of recurring and one-off maintenance things. I’d gladly pay $500+ per month to have 24/7 access to a “home manager” who could be the single point-of-contact for my home. • Schedules all recurring services • Coordinates all one-off services • Consolidates all service costs into one bill It’s probably a local/regional business (probably hard to coordinate the service provider relationships at scale), but a huge opportunity nonetheless. Could be a franchise model with software at top and local franchises. It solves a real home ownership pain point, so I’d bet a young hustler could go door to door and probably sell 100 houses at $500 per month over a single weekend… I’m sure there are some people trying to do this, but I haven’t ever been pitched on it for my homes, so it clearly hasn’t scaled yet. It feels similar to the local/regional pest control business opportunity that has now become pretty saturated. What am I missing?

@3PeaksTrading Absolutely brutal. And then to not have Munoz ready. Saving him for a lead you may not have or for the 5-7 hitters with no one on.

Shouldn’t be surprising to see more and more QBs use plyo balls for arm strength. One of the best things accurate but below-average arm strength QBs can focus on in the combine. Almost like @DrivelineBB has worked with a few NFL teams and independent QBs on exactly this…

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but almond milk is highly contaminated with mold: 23/24 samples contained aflatoxin B1, which is considered the most carcinogenic aflatoxin, also genotoxic. "This means that no safe threshold for the carcinogenic effect can be established." Other harmful aflatoxins were also found in oat milk, such as T-2 and HT-2 from Fusarium mold, which have a haematotoxic and myelotoxic effect and disrupt haematopoiesis. Please keep in mind that this applies to oats as a food as well. Grains can be highly contaminated. While soy milk had low or undetectable levels (although more samples required for one of the studies), it was very high in nickel which can be problematic for some people, and soy milk is generally high glyphosate unless organic, and GMO, and high in anti-nutrients. Many issues with it, that doesn't make it a good alternative. bfr.bund.de/cm/349/mycotox… researchgate.net/publication/38…
