@CoachSHoltz He spoke at the 2014 US Mid-Amateur at Saucon Valley. Tremendous speaker. Kind man. Shook his hand and we spoke for a few minutes about football as well as golf. His message from his speech still resonates with me. He lived a helluva life.

My father passed away today resting peacefully at home. I appreciate everyone’s thoughts and prayers over the last couple months! He was successful, but more important he was Significant.

@DMRegister Black, silver and gold were ISUs original colors and they switched to cardinal and gold around 1900. ISU has incorporated white for years into past uniforms, as well.

@IndyHawk89 @cyclonebone Black was actually one of ISUs original colors dating back prior to 1900. They adjusted to cardinal & gold around that time. White goes with everything. Go ‘Clones. Hope y’all beat the hell out of Mizzu. Cheers

At this point just change your school colors to black and white. I've never seen a school refuse to wear their school colors with a chance to showcase it on national tv more than ISU.

ISU changed their schematic around 100 years ago but black is part of ISUs historical context as much as Jack Trice or Ames logos….IMO, they should use the Jack Trice logo at all times for FB

@Hassel_Chris @DonHassel I like the “Ames” thing they have going. Cool logo, unique. They need to ditch the black uniforms…that’s Iowa’s color. It’s weird.

Iowa’s defense is terrible and Iowa State is going to enter November unbeaten and in the top 10.
