@JackPosobiec Jesus time and again stood his ground against the angry mob…great example of the women who was to be stoned to death, he didn’t give in to the mob, he quietly drew in the dirt before telling them, he who is without sin cast the first stone.

Correcting a Common Misreading of the Bible: When people hear the words of Jesus saying turn the other cheek they often think He is commanding surrender. They imagine that Jesus calls us to retreat or to let others walk over us. But this is not what He meant In the world of the first century a slap on the right cheek was not about injury but about public insult. It was a way of treating someone as less than human, humiliating or challenging them By telling His followers to turn the other cheek Jesus was not telling them to accept humiliation in silence. He was teaching them to stand their ground in a way that refused violence yet also refused surrender. He commands us to stand our ground Think about it. If you strike me on the right cheek with your right hand you must do so as a backhanded slap. That was the gesture of a master to a servant. To turn the other cheek forces the aggressor into a choice. They must either strike with the open hand which acknowledges equality or they must stop. In this way the victim has exposed the injustice without becoming violent, and standing their ground Jesus is not teaching weakness. He is teaching a higher strength. To turn the other cheek is not to bow down in fear but to rise up in dignity. It is a holy act of resistance. It refuses to mirror hatred yet it refuses to give ground to evil. It shows the world that the children of God will not be defined by insults Meekness does not mean weakness So when you hear those words do not picture surrender. Picture courage. Picture a man or woman who will not be broken by the cruelty of others. Picture the strength of Christ who on the cross refused to curse His enemies and yet triumphed over them all Never surrender Never submit This is the way of the Kingdom. Not weak submission but holy defiance. Not revenge but victory through courage and resilience in the face of adversity

Senate Republicans keep trotting this same chart out to the floor. But what they won’t tell you: Historically bad nominees deserve historic levels of scrutiny. We have never seen nominees as flawed, as compromised, as unqualified as Trump’s. And they know that.

@CBSNews I’m old enough to remember the same rhetoric when President Reagan placed nuclear tipped missiles in Europe…the shame, WWIII, U2 wrote a silly song. Yet it led to the collapse of the Soviet Union and the wall came down. France ur welcome for liberating u from the Germans in WWII

A mural of the Statue of Liberty covering her face in shame was unveiled in Roubaix, France, one day before the United States celebrates Independence Day on July 4. The mural, titled “The Statue of Liberty’s Silent Protest,” was created by Dutch artist Judith de Leeuw, who painted the it over six days a building on Rue de Chemin-de-Fer. de Leeuw said the city of Roubaix "has a large migrant population, and many of them live in extremely difficult circumstances." "The values that the statue once stood for—freedom, hope, the right to be yourself—have been lost for many,” she said. The Statue of Liberty was a gift from France to the U.S. and stands on Liberty Island in New York – nearby Ellis Island, which was a stop for immigrants making their way to New York in 19th and 20th centuries. Both make up a National Park.

@catturd2 If this guy had 76 illegal immigrants working for him, he should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. It’s a perfect example of using immigration to lower his costs, suppress wages and create an unfair advantage over his competitors

@BulwarkOnline @BillKristol An illegal immigrant classified as a gang member and terrorist doesn’t have constitutional rights. He did receive due process and received a deportation notice. Who is standing up for Rachel Morins rights, who IS a Maryland citizen. Van Hollen is lying to the American people

Sen. Van Hollen: "I don't think it's ever wrong to fight for the constitutional rights of one person because if we give up on one person's rights, we threaten everybody's rights...Anyone who is not prepared to stand up and fight for the Constitution doesn't deserve to lead."

Western men, if you’re looking for a model of masculinity, this is the answer. Seriously since Sir. Winston Churchill this the most manly thing I’ve seen in my lifetime. “The President is still here, I don’t need a ride, I need ammo”.

@JackPosobiec Trump is playing chess while the rest are playing checkers. There’s reasons why Trump chose Vance, he knows his VP will be the one to carry on the MAGA mantle since he only has 4 years as president and they’ll be more to be done. He’s not leaving it to chance

@GoingCommander @skinsnomatta1 I think an argument can be made for Caleb’s physical tools. But I don’t think he’ll ever be mentally on Daniel’s level, mentally tough, the work ethic, the selflessness. things u can’t measure at the Combine, for those reasons there’s a strong case for taking Daniels first

NEW: Power outages reported in Nuuk, Greenland, lasting for over 10 hours with a windchill of -17 degrees Fahrenheit. The U.S. would never make the Greenlandic people suffer like this! Nuuk is the capital of Greenland and is home to 20,000 residents. Some locals were forced to hang out in their cars to get warm. As the power comes back on, citizens are being told to be frugal and not use washing machines, dishwashers, and other large appliances. Video: @OJoelsen
