Following many requests from colleagues worldwide for access to my recorded webinars, I’ve reactivated my dormant YouTube channel where you’ll find a dedicated playlist with 20+ full-length lectures from previous open-access sessions — all freely available — and I’ll continue adding more. Explore here: @EchoSoliman" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">youtube.com/@EchoSoliman Hoping these resources continue to support global learning and collaboration in critical care echocardiography & POCUS. #EchoFirst #POCUS #EACVI

@FireMedic40NJ Crazy! Long ago gave a lecture to Long Island Critical Care paramedics to provide some clinical guidance, but ventilators are complex patient machine interactions.

@CoffeeBlackMD Coffee, as we know, medicine is not what it’s cracked up to be, but at the end of the day we impact so many lives in a positive manner as you’ve clearly laid out in the past your success stories that these occasional events are nothing more than a five second nuisance.

Had patient message me on the epic. Complaining about the price of the inhaler I ordered. Then told me they paid the copay on it anyway and told me I could thank them for a kickback. They then told me they prayed about the inhaler and awoke convinced it was awful stuff. 🤷‍♂️🖕

#ChiHemos2024 Wonderful meeting lots of learning, especially around Venus, congestion and right heart catheterization. Great to see some other Critical Care friends. Suggest Critical Care breakout next year.

@OfficialJoelF Not sure if newsworthy? But both Google maps and Waze are not working this morning in the early morning commute from Broward to Dade. Either major event on the highways or something is strange on the Internet.

writing a new IBCC chapter on Impellas. secrets? good review articles? pitfalls? please share - most practitioners didn't grow up with this device, so I think we have a lot to learn about it

Recently had a pleasant enough chat with a guy here, another doc, about TRT. I have zero reason to think this doc is “bad.” However, he indicated that TRT was bad for the heart and for blood clots. The best evidence does not show an increase in blood clots, shows improvements in CV health without increased risk of heart attack or stroke, and helps fat guys lose weight. I was told that feeling better on it is also not a good enough individual metric to base any management on. I strongly disagree about this. If you’ve never been a guy who feels bad, no motivation, no libido, putting on weight, not progressing in the gym, and not recovering from workouts and being told you are “normal” because on labs you aren’t below a certain legal is crazy making. And then you finally get some testosterone and the light come on and the fire is back. I’m sorry. All these docs are wrong. Testosterone is medicine. And it’s life changing. I hope to see the sea change here going into the future.

I managed to do 6 reps of 140 lbs on my final bench set today. I only managed 4 pull-ups x 4 sets. But it was my first time doing them since May 27th.

@ThinkingCC Perfect example: Fluid dynamics around Heart Mate 3: Pressure is too high there is negligible flow Flow is too low. There is no negligible pressure.
