@jstncook02 @SawyerMerritt I upgraded to 20” because the tire is 35 inch. 18” has 34 inch tire. CT looks better with bigger tires.

I can confirm that Tesla has officially started assigning VINs to people who initially ordered the $59,990 Cybertruck Dual-Motor AWD, which means first deliveries should start in the coming weeks! • 325 mile range • 7,500 lb towing capacity • 0-60mph: 4.1s • Bed with motorized tonneau cover • Bed Outlets (2-120v, 1-240v) • 325kW max charging speed • Coil spring with adaptive damping • Durable textile interior • 18’’ Wheels with all-season tires • 10" ground clearance • Weight: 6,537 lbs • Same 18.5" front center display as trims Absolutely incredible value for all the people who ordered and locked in the $59,990 price.

Republicans blocked Democrats' bill to pay TSA workers AGAIN.   Then, they blocked our bill to fund all of DHS besides ICE & CBP...AGAIN.   We've given Republicans every chance to solve this TODAY. They refuse unless Congress cuts a blank check to ICE. Not happening.

Southwest’s change is the death of the company. I was a top .1% user for 5 years (literally flew so much I got companion pass in 2022). The thing is, Southwest misunderstood what their actual moat was. It wasn’t cheap flights though that worked. It wasn’t no seat assignments, though that again was a positive as well. Their moat was that they were the only airline that you could book a flight in 5 clicks if you had an account. Because of the simplicity of their offering and the operation, you could avoid the confusing bullshit that you had to deal with with all other airlines—which tier, which seat, which status, which flight insurance, which bag fee…etc They, the southwest leaders, confused their win as low cost—it wasn’t it was ease of use. And it’s gone—now they’re just like everyone else, but they have no experience being like everyone else—so they’re actually not just like everyone else, they’re the worst of the rest. I have booked 6 flights since the change that would have been a no brainer southwest for me in the past—each one I’ve booked Alaska. Because now, Southwest is only competing on price and flight options. I used to be happy to pick slightly worse flights for the simple fact that I had nothing to think about to accomplish it—now, I am forced to only judge them on the same things that all other airlines compete on. And they’re gonna lose. James Dyson famously said. “Be different, for the sake of it.” We literally call it product differentiation. Southwest was the only airline that was different—and they were the only airline that was profitable for 44 straight years (until COVID). And they gave that advantage away on purpose—Herb Kelleher is rolling over in his grave. Mark my words—in 5 years this is going to go down as the greatest fumble in modern corporate history—they don’t even have the excuse of failure to adapt to a new technology like Kodak or Xerox, they intentionally did this to themselves.

@marcthiessen @SouthwestAir If I were @AmericanAir or another airline, I would copy exactly what Southwest used to do and earn all their former customer loyalty. Or leave assigned seating, but implement “bags fly free”

Has anyone else noticed that @SouthwestAir fares have gone through the roof since the boarding changes? I’m A-list preferred, multiple credit card holder, loyal customer for years. But unless you are traveling with someone on a companion pass there’s literally no reason to fly them anymore.
Liberty Hobbit@wcodyanderson

Boarding a @SouthwestAir flight. I am A+ Preferred. This is Group 1 under the "new system". Two other unnumbered groups boarding before this one. So much for "status".

@MBonvoyAssist Thanks for the reply. Seems counterintuitive, wish I could change my reservation without penalty at this point.

Hey @SouthwestAir, I’m in Seat 8C. Boarding Group 5. Bag is at row 15. Congrats on a stupid change none of your customers asked for. Time to Cracker Barrel this idea.

@GMC - any idea when your telematics modules for 2025 Acadia will no longer on back order? A new vehicle with limited features, sucks! I should have stuck with @Toyota. If @Toyota would give me a good deal, I’d trade it off in a heartbeat.

Another day and a telematics module still on back order from @GMC. Bought a 2025 Acadia and it went out 2 months ago - loved the car, but will likely be getting rid of it due to lack of action from @GMC. Do yourself a favor and buy a @Toyota grand Highlander

Everyone says buy a car that's 1-2 years old and let someone else take the depreciation hit. Here's why that advice doesn't always hold water: A 2-year-old car with 25,000 miles in some cases may only be $6,000 less than new. But you just lost two years of warranty. You're financing at a higher interest rate because it's used. And you have no idea if the previous owner beat the hell out of it for 25,000 miles. So you're just telling me the prior owner just ate the worst part of the depreciation curve cause he's a nice guy?? Meanwhile, the new one has $4,000 in manufacturer incentives. Full factory warranty, lower interest rate, and the option to lease. The 1-2 year used car strategy made sense in 2015. It doesn't always anymore. The gap between new and lightly used has shrunk so much that you're not always saving what you think you are. And you're giving up a lot to save a little.

Kurt Supe, CPA & Retirement Planner
A 57-year-old with $4.2M in his 401(k) was about to make a mistake that would cost him two years of his life. He walked into my office burned out and ready to retire. "Kurt, I'd love to quit today, but I can't touch my 401(k) until 59½ without penalties. I'm trapped for two more years." I showed him something nobody had ever mentioned to him. The Rule of 55. If you separate from service in the year you turn 55 or later, you can access your 401(k) penalty-free. No 10% penalty. No waiting until 59½. He thought I was making it up. His HR department never told him. He'd been planning to grind through two more years he didn't actually need to work. Here's what makes this tricky: Rule of 55 only works with your CURRENT employer's 401(k). If you rollover to an IRA first, you lose this option forever. Public safety workers can actually use it at age 50. You still pay ordinary income tax, just no penalty. The 59½ rule everyone talks about? That's for IRAs. And even with IRAs, there are usually exceptions we can find to avoid the penalty if you know where to look. Your retirement accounts have different rules than most people think. Don't let a rule you don't understand cost you years of your life.

@GMC and their Telematics module issues are ridiculous. Would never recommend purchasing a brand new Acadia!! Going on over a month with a telematics sensor out on a brand new vehicle. No updates other than “it’s on back order”
