Garden Moth Survey night, just 1 Common Quaker in the trap on a cold, windy night. Put our Merlin app on as we checked trap, it decided to change to Portuguese. Eventually got it back to English. Few nights off now!

@JamesMelville @Littleashgarden Totally wrong Helen. North Sea oil is owned by multi national companies and is sold on the world markets. We cannot control that however much we drill. We will always be tied to world fluctuations whilst we rely on oil & gas. And yes I've worked offshore & in the industry.

@norfolkbirdtour Makes a change from being chased around a hotel at breakfast in Sabah, Borneo by an orangutan. It took a bit more perversion to move on though than your sun bear.

This Sun Bear kept coming in to the back of the restaurant at Ban Krang campsite in Kaeng Krachan NP. We saw it here on a couple of different days. It wasn't even put off by being hit on the nose with a broom and only walked away when it had a bucket of water thrown over it!

Shame about the cloud but did notice that it was a bit clearer your way to the east. The aurora oval was even to the south of us at one point.

@Christo1219 Unfortunately a lot of non local people in Norfolk at the moment for a certain bird.

Some photographers just a law to there own walking thro where short eared owls roost and eat to get the best pic . No wonder why birders dont put news out anymore

@simon_weather @James_Akrill Same for me. Hung on for a while more than in hope than anything but no. The clouds just didn't clear early enough.

@junglejon33 @James_Akrill Managed a glimpse around 10:30pm over Breydon Water, then the BZ decided to go north once cloud completely cleared lol

Would nice if these values hold till it gets properly dark and any frontal cloud clears the east. Might get another go at Aurora. 🤞
