Zelensky just reminded JD Vance that calling Ukrainian territory a "scrap of land" isn't a negotiating position. It's an insult. With full diplomatic courtesy and zero diplomatic softness, Zelensky explained what Vance apparently doesn't know: the territory in question has 200,000 residents, strong fortifications, and sits exactly where Russia wants to build a bridgehead for its next offensive. Giving it up doesn't end the war. It stages the next one. Then the closing line: "Every square meter of our land is Ukrainian land and, with all due respect to any of our partners, it is definitely not theirs." There's no misreading that sentence.

@MissJilianne @ValueAnalyst1 Since the default is pull in updates over your home, Wi-Fi, or any Wi-Fi, As soon as they are available, that must mean you have turned off updates. I have had FSD for 22 months and just about once a month a new update drops. Each update is measurably better.

Until recently, Hamideh Soleimani Afshar and her daughter were green card holders living lavishly in the United States. Afshar is the niece of deceased Iranian Major General Qasem Soleimani. She is also an outspoken supporter of the Iranian regime who celebrated attacks on Americans and referred to our country as the "Great Satan." This week, I terminated both Afshar and her daughter's legal status and they are now in ICE custody, pending removal from the United States. The Trump Administration will not allow our country to become a home for foreign nationals who support anti-American terrorist regimes.

Data centers sit there and hum. If they are required to generate their own power off grid, and not consume water in any ecology threatening way, sure, let them build! Big complaints seem to be higher electric prices since they use a lot, and cooling water. Next to the Mississippi or the ocean, that's not a problem.

JUST IN: Maine is about to become the first US state to ban new data centers. And 10 other states are right behind it. Maine wants to freeze massive construction projects until late 2027. The bill passed the Democratic-controlled House (with Republican support). The Senate is expected to follow. Gov. Janet Mills backs it. And right now, at least 10 states are advancing similar bans. AI runs on electricity. MASSIVE amounts of it. One large data center uses at least 20 megawatts of power. That's enough to light up 15,000+ homes. And someone always pays for that power. Right now? You do. When data centers flood a state, power demand spikes. Utilities raise rates. Homeowners get the bill. Data centers need land. They need water. They need MASSIVE amounts of electricity. What happens next will affect AI development timelines. The next 18 months will decide whether the AI energy problem gets solved or gets worse.

The SLS idea is: Design, the reviews until everyone agrees it should work. Then, build using parts that are individually tested and certified with a mountain of paperwork. NASA will then make changes to "improve things". Go back two steps and start again. Then, once built, inspect everything several times to recertify it. Then, launch and hope. SpaceX idea? Idea, design, build super fast, launch, fail or succeed fast, repeat hundreds of times of each component and subassembly. Test with flight hours not in a lab. Dream really big. SpaceX starship is taller than, and 2x the mas of Saturn 5. Fully reusable. Land everything, refuel, launch again - by design same day! Cost per starship launch: $500k of fuel. That's it. Not $4 BILLION per SLS launch.

The countdown clock started 2 hours ago for a $4.2 billion 10-day trip where nobody gets out of the car. Artemis II will fly four astronauts around the Moon and back. No landing. No orbiting. A flyby. The last time humans did something similar was Apollo 8 in 1968, when the entire Apollo program's per-mission cost, adjusted for inflation, was roughly $2.8 billion. NASA is now spending 50% more per launch to repeat a less ambitious version of a mission it pulled off 58 years ago. The math on this rocket is staggering at every level. SLS has cost $29 billion in development since 2011. Add Orion at $13.8 billion. Add ground systems. Total bill before a single astronaut boards: north of $44 billion. The rocket was supposed to launch in 2016 for $5 billion. It launched its first uncrewed test in 2022 for $20 billion. The crew mission arrives in 2026 at a per-launch cost the Trump administration's own budget called "grossly expensive." Now compare. SpaceX's Falcon 9 costs $67 million per launch. That's 63 Falcon 9 launches for the price of one SLS. SpaceX's internal cost per reused launch is closer to $15 million, which means NASA could fly 280 Falcon 9 missions for what it costs to send four people on a 10-day loop. SpaceX flew 165 orbital missions in 2025 alone. SLS has flown twice total across its entire existence. The heat shield is the part that should keep you up at night. Artemis I's heat shield spalled so badly during reentry that NASA spent years investigating. Their solution: fly the same heat shield design but change the reentry angle to a steeper trajectory. The crew will hit Earth's atmosphere at 25,000 mph, temperatures exceeding 5,000 degrees, with a shield design that already failed its only test. Wednesday at 6:24 PM Eastern. 80% favorable weather. Four humans in a capsule built on shuttle-era engineering, riding the most expensive rocket ever constructed, testing a heat shield that cracked last time. The Apollo astronauts did this with slide rules and 4KB of RAM. We're doing it with $44 billion and a prayer.
