Can you use cold email to book calls with big businesses? For my money, it's one of the *best* ways to do it. We ran a campaign for a client that began last Halloween (not the easiest time to start outbound!), yet still booked 30+ calls with mostly enterprise companies. 🧵

I am fine with whatever fate awaits me. If this catastrophic error of judgement makes me unemployable, so be it. I made a mistake. I admitted to it. I want to make it right, and if that means never working in politics again, it's a consequence I am ready to accept.

We’re well beyond parody from Tucker Carlson’s newsletter today—as he cheers the Qatari royal family’s injection of billions into American classrooms. Instead, we should be concerned with the American citizens who donate to AIPAC. Carlson doesn’t see the obvious difference between the two, as he doesn’t consider Jews who support Israel to be Americans.

Doubt either can. The big issue heading into 2028: Vance is, as of now, the prohibitive favorite, and he’s tight as can be with Tucker. If Vance becomes the nominee, all the good work that people like you did to hold Tucker to account will be all for naught. Tucker and Grandma Groyper seem to be on their heels today, but if Vance gets the conch in the 2028, they’ll have the last laugh. That’s Tucker and Megyn Kelly calculus: they’re betting on Vance, who is the runaway favorite.

Can the Vice President handle a question about this? Can the President of Heritage? Can either of them summon the balls to clearly say, “no, that’s insane” and explain why? I’d love to be surprised, but I know I won’t be.

On Tucker and Megyn... Something hit me last night outside of their obvious descent into conspiracy riddled madness and endless chase for every last click. Both of them came from mainstream media and are still relatively new to the online world. This isn’t the place they wanted to be, rather it’s the place they were banished to. They come from the cutthroat mainstream world which only cares about views and egos. So their behavior in this ecosystem is just replicating that. They love the feuds, the quest for ratings, the little lies, the backstabbing, because that’s all they knew from their previous lives. The online word was built by people who forged trusted audiences over long periods of time. Not people who were just given a flashy set, smacked with a lot of makeup and sat behind high contrast lighting and a shiny desk. Trust and authenticity is the key in this world, but that’s not the world they come from. Tucker was going down this path for awhile, and Megyn saw clicks and attention so dove in. As their ship sinks, they’re gripping onto each other like Rose and Jack at the end of Titanic. Their former mainstream colleagues have lost respect for them, and they’ve chosen to spit in the faces of the new media people who they think they’re better than. As they float in the icy waters of conspiracy and clicks, it’s important to note they never wanted to be in this space to begin with. They genuinely think they’re better than everyone else in the game because of their names, but that doesn’t fly in the online world. On cable news you can lie to your audience over and over, and they’ll just keep tuning in because it’s all they know. In the online world people will wisen up and find better choices. They have chosen each other. We’ll see how that works out for them…
