🚨 Keith Pelley has held 1-on-1 meetings with Leafs staff across the organization and hasn’t limited those conversations internally—he’s also been speaking with people around the league and industry.
If he does decide to change how things are going, there’s a clear sense of urgency, as he has decisions to make, starting with the GM.
Artur Akhtyamov’s recent extension could suggest, given the timing, that the Leafs are at least positioning themselves with some depth in place in case they move one of the guys at the top (Stolarz or Woll).

I have been a citizen of two countries of the British Commonwealth as I grew up (Sri Lanka and Canada) before I emigrated to America 26 years ago.
I used to look up to Britain. I admired their institutions. Mostly, I was deeply proud of their heritage and customs.
But their current course and speed will lead to collapse and demise.
How has a country so historically great become so self-loathing?
How did the “Empire on which the sun never sets” become this broken and backwards?
There are many dark lessons to be learned here about the ravages of rampant immigration, guilt, censorship and national decay.

California is disguising a proposed asset seizure tax as a "Billionaire Tax," but the math doesn't add up.
They wanted $100B from 200 Californian billionaires but $500B in wealth has already fled the state, leaving a $25B hole in their plan.
And it’s still only a proposal. Imagine how much more wealth will leave if this actually makes the ballot??
Why should you care?
The fine print in the bill allows the California legislature to apply this asset tax to non-billionaires as well whenever they want. Your car, home and jewelry would all count.
California isn’t coming just for the rich.
This bill, while disguised as a tax on the wealthy, is actually the infrastructure to tax everyone in California even more - but now on everything you own.
Instead, why not fund our budget by first stopping the waste??
