@willchamberlain @RepSpartz Trump had a prostitute he slept with while his wife was pregnant sign an NDA. Even if this political hit job was true, which it's not, don't pretend you care.

These statements are so thoroughly lawyered, it's ridiculous. A simple yes or no question, Rep. Spartz. You say that you did not attempt to "force" Ms. West to sign an NDA. Did the settlement agreement you proposed include any provision that would have restricted Ms. West's right to speak on any topic?

Rep. Victoria Spartz
Rep. Victoria Spartz@RepSpartz·
Due to numerous requests from the media, Rep. Spartz issued the following statement regarding Ms. West’s allegations against Rep. Massie and Rep. Spartz’s office: “Rep. Spartz has never heard of an alleged $5,000 settlement proposal - or any other settlement proposal- by Rep. Massie regarding allegations Ms. West brought against Rep. Spartz’s office. The first time Rep. Spartz heard these accusations by Ms. West against Rep. Massie was a few days ago in Ms. West’s public video. On a personal level, Rep. Spartz considers Thomas Massie to be one of the strongest supporters of women in Congress and a defender of women’s rights among her GOP colleagues. Rep. Spartz has seen him in action. Ms. West was not terminated by our office; rather, her temporary employment was not extended beyond 90 days due to concerning conduct by Ms. West. A few months later, Ms. West brought allegations against Rep. Spartz’s office, which Rep. Spartz denied and refused to settle during the pre-filing period. Recently, due to delays and other circumstances in this case, Rep. Spartz was willing to reconsider settlement discussions in order to save taxpayer money and mitigate disruptions to the operation of the office. At no point did Rep. Spartz try to force Ms. West into a non-disclosure agreement. On the contrary, Rep. Spartz would be happy to publicly disclose all aspects of these allegations, the circumstances surrounding Ms. West’s employment, and how this process is structured in Congress, if permitted to do so.”

@ComicDaveSmith @RepThomasMassie Massie's itchy DICK has nothing to do with Israel. Maybe Massie should take personal responsibility for hiring/affairing/firing a staffer and attempting to bribe her with hush money. Maybe not SCAPEGOATING another country and taking OWNERSHIP for his actions would be a good start

There is only one thing you need to know about @RepThomasMassie campaign and it’s not even that he’s the best congressman in the country with a voting record second to none. It’s that the Israel lobby is attempting to unseat a congressman for the crime of exposing them and their disastrous war. No self respecting nation can allow that to happen. Don’t believe the bs last minute accusations and betting market shifts. These are obvious signs of a concerted effort. Just double down, send him money if you can, call whoever you know in his district, share his videos or posts. We need to win this one.

Everyone loves asking: “If Grant was such a great general, how come he lost nearly every battle to Lee and suffered way more casualties?” Robert E. Lee himself had a very different answer. “I have carefully searched the military records of both ancient and modern history, and have never found Grant’s superior as a general. I doubt his superior can be found in all history.” — Robert E. Lee The entire question is built on two flat-out falsehoods. First: Grant didn’t “lose nearly every battle.” There was essentially ONE continuous campaign — from the Wilderness in May 1864 straight through to Appomattox in April 1865. Grant seized the initiative in the very first clash and never gave it back. Lee spent the rest of the war reacting to Grant’s moves. When Lee attacked in the Wilderness hoping the old forests and bogs would save him (like they always had), Grant didn’t retreat north like every previous Union commander. He simply disengaged, slid south, and flanked Lee again. Lee never dictated the terms of battle after that day. James Longstreet had tried to warn the Army of Northern Virginia: “We’ve never faced anyone like this man.” They didn’t listen. They learned fast. Second: The casualty comparison ignores that Lee was almost always the defender. Context matters. But the deeper truth is bigger than any single clash. Lee still fought war the old way — disconnected battles, win-loss record like a sports season. Grant fought the next war: coordinated campaigns across multiple theaters, using railroads, telegraph, navy, and engineers to keep relentless pressure until the enemy simply could not continue. Grant didn’t win by accident. He made contact and maintained it until victory was inevitable. Lee fought the last war. Grant wrote the blueprint for the next one. That’s why he was great. That's why he won. Change your mind yet? Drop your hottest take on Grant vs. Lee below. 🔥

@naubzie @ComicDaveSmith @KonstantinKisin I asked Dave when we were expecting, and he told me to live in the moment because it goes by quickly and then you miss the moments you wished would end. I can now confirm that. I miss so much about my daughter that I'll never get again. But now I get to enjoy a different her.

When the world shut down over a 99.9999% survivable virus, I had to tell a few dozen rig hands they were out of a job. Then I had to tell even more frac hands. Then snubbing hands. Then I went home to wait for my layoff. Then I spent 6 months applying for jobs with no interviews because corporate America had banned White men in honor of Saint George Floyd, Patron Saint of Fentanyl. A great Twitter friend who I am indebted to forever got me a job with a 25% pay cut, and I had to work physically harder than I had in a decade. Anyway. Nobody in news media ever reached out for my story. And it wasn’t a unique story, I was one of a couple hundred thousand guys going through this.

Friends and fellow porchers. I'm trying to find contact info for porches I'd like to repeat and well I think producer man stole my leads when I fired him. I don't think he realized how non competitive the backyard porching market is but he was pretty dumb so I wish him well in trying to sell my porch leads as he tries to make a payday before his new career working for pam bondi. Anyways -if you got a porch, even if I played it - fill out my form, so it'll be in my brand new sparkly clean spreadsheet. thefiretix.com

@SpaceborneMedic I grew up at the foot of Rainier. I later moved to IA. My apprentice told me he had never left the state. I told him he needed to see a mountain once in his life. He told me "we have mountains in Iowa"

In her defense, first day I was on Fort Lewis (has a picturesque view of Rainier) I was sitting at the on base BK, the clouds parted and a sunny day arrived. I looked out over the airfield and saw the snow covered top of the mountain and said to the guy sitting with me "man, those are some funny looking clouds." The guy I was with, a Washington native, said "no bro, that's mount Rainier, that's not clouds." I'm from Michigan. I had never seen an elevation higher than 1200 feet before. I had no understanding of how truly massive stratovolcanos are.

@davepl1968 Unfortunately they're mainly computer and solenoid operated nowadays. There is still a valve body, but they aren't analog. Manual valves are still common, but the majority of the rest is solenoid.

This a computer, and you likely own one. It's a hydraulic analog computer. It’s essentially a machined analog computer that computes with fluid instead of electronics: pump pressure is routed through passages that act like wires, while spool valves, springs, orifices, and check balls perform the equivalents of comparators, logic gates, delays, and one-way elements. What it “calculates” is the machine’s current operating state, whether conditions have crossed a threshold to justify changing state, how strongly to apply each output, and how quickly to make that transition without instability or shock. It does this by continuously balancing forces—pressure on different valve areas against spring preload and feedback pressure—so each valve shifts only when one hydraulic condition outweighs another, while restrictions and chambers add timing and smoothing. In plain English, it is a real-time fluidic state machine that solves “if this pressure is greater than that one, route flow here; otherwise hold, delay, soften, or override” entirely through geometry and oil. They're used in every car with an automatic transmission, where it makes choices like what gear to be in and how hard to apply clutches, etc.... And some dude worked it all out on paper back in the 1960s.

@learning_yohei It varies. Typically you follow the host. If they take theirs off, so do you. If they dont, and you do, it can be seen as overly familiar. You will often politely be told that you may leave them on. If you leave yours on, and they take theirs off, you'll be seen as inconsiderate

@pika_nekopanda I work with Toyota. Japanese care largely about making a well-made product, without defects. They would rather make a perfect average car than a poorly-made flashy car. They are laser-focused on catching problems. They care a lot about brand image.

@chaserealestat3 Im building a house on a well system. I have RO running to the 2 fridges, and one for the kitchen sink. I'm having them rough-in the water softener to add later. Is an iron eradicator worth it for well water? Any other recommendations?

A lot of this is a waste of money and actually problematic for your home and water lines Whole home RO is a waste of money, waste of water, and will cause leaching in the copper water lines, which then is in your drinking supply. It also cause tiny pin hole leaks. RO water is so pure it strips copper. Many people don’t know but RO systems waste tons of water. For every gallon of RO water it will waste 1.5-3 gallons of non RO water UV and remineralizing on a whole home is waste of money too It’s much better to Go with a whole home carbon filtration and water softener, install it after your shut off and have a new shut off after the system so it can be isolated when you need to change filter. Also be sure to buy a softener with a bypass. Plumber will ask you what kind of line material for the install, choose copper Then designate 1-2 faucets in home to be drinking water stations , ideally kitchen area for cooking water and drinking, then depending on size of home another station if you have a large home, if not just kitchen area. For this get an under sink RO system with designated faucet. Add the remineralizing here. Water E Store dot com will help you and sell you the filter, softener and under sink mount RO system Buy the faucet and install materials from local plumbing supply like Ferguson. You’ll need to use PEX for the RO system lines bc they won’t leach. The RO system will come with it. Hire a plumber to install all Probably run you $3,500-$4,500 all in and cover everything you need

It’s fucking hilarious watching these spineless podcasters run their mouths nonstop, shitting all over Trump and MAGA like it’s their full-time job. But the second Trump claps back with one comment defending himself, you fragile little bitches have a full-blown meltdown and flip the script like he’s the real problem. YOU are the fucking problem. You’ve been grifting off his name 24/7, milking every ounce of clout, cash, and clicks you can squeeze from his movement. Then the moment shit gets real and loyalty is actually tested, you flake out like the paid-off cowards you are. Trump has fucking earned every bit of loyalty he gets. He doesn’t owe you spineless grifters a single thing. He sure as hell doesn’t have to tiptoe around on eggshells for any of you snowflakes. He’s the exact same Trump he’s been since 2016—zero apologies, zero fucks given. If you can’t handle the heat, then get the fuck out of the kitchen and stay the hell out.
