I’m going to suggest something that I’ve been thinking about for a couple of weeks, but I haven’t spoken about publicly yet. I think it’s possible that the #bitcoin ETF approval could kickstart a speculative attack and lead to hyperbitcoinization. The beginning of ETFs holding spot bitcoin, alongside Interactive Brokers' low borrowing rates, currently at 5.83%, presents an unprecedented opportunity for leveraging bitcoin at the lowest interest rates available in global financial markets. This significantly enhances bitcoin as collateral. ETFs opened the potential for a massive positive feedback loop. Borrow (create) dollars and buy bitcoin. This very act devalues the dollar and increases the value of bitcoin, and it can be repeated, over and over again. As @BitcoinPierre stated in 2014, “The feedback loop between fiat inflation and bitcoin deflation will throw the world into full hyperbitcoinization.” The future of money is bitcoin, and the transition is already underway. This is hyperbitcoinization.
