Well I gotta say, @jackmallers you lost me when you said “for the people”. Last I checked, large corporations like Micorstrategy, Marathon, Riot, Blackrock, Grayscale, Binance, Coinbase, even the U.S. Government and Chinese Government are the largest holders of Bitcoin. The “people” actually only own a fraction of what the large corporations and governments do now. It’s no longer “for the people”. That ship sailed long ago dude. These large corporations and governments now decide the market of Bitcoin. Need proof? Just go back and look at the Bitcoin market when Blackrock starts selling? It dumps. What happens when Blackrock buys? It’s pumps. And that just one company. Also, there is a big difference between Ripple and Bitcoin. Ripple is trying to solve something completely different than what Bitcoin was created for. It’s funny people are even comparing these as if they are the same thing. They’re not the same. And that’s why they’ve co-exist in this digital space for years. And President Trump signed the EO for a crypto strategic reserve which opened the door to stockpile not just Bitcoin, but other U.S. based cryptocurrencies. Which to me, still sounds like the U.S. government is going to continue to stockpile Bitcoin. Best decision President Trump did was open the doors to accumulate multiple digital currencies versus just one. So personally, I think you have it all wrong here.
