@wholemars Agree. Plus it’s confusing the average person: “Self-driving” is the main menu title but only option is TACC. The average person who doesn’t follow Tesla and FSD will think, “this is Tesla’s self driving??”

@EricLDaugh The truly sad thing is how libs think Newsom is doing the right thing. Rewind 10+ years ago, and the public would not have tolerated Newsom’s bs.

🚨 HOLY CRAP. Nick Shirley DECIMATES Gavin Newsom 🔥
“The governor of California is an ENEMY to the people of California. He’s literally working to support the fraudsters!”
“He COULD be working to expose the fraud.”
“How STUPID do you have to be to say ‘let’s go after the guy exposing the fraud, let’s not go after the fraudsters?’”
“That is what he’s doing. Why don’t you say ‘Hey Nick, great video - how can we help?’”
“These tax dollars don’t say right or left on them, Republican or Democrat. Each tax dollar is a dollar for the American people.”
“And when they go and steal these dollars from us, they are not robbing liberals or Democrats, they are robbing everyone.”
“Then the governor gets mad at the person exposing the fraud? How crazy do you have to be to think that logic?!” @nickshirleyy
Mic drop.

Robotaxi in Austin uses a different software and autonomy branch than the rest of the fleet as of earlier this year.
This is partially what allows for the unsupervised functionality (this can be accomplished on customer calls via hidden flags/UI), but namely permanent separation is expected going forward.
Improvements and aspects of Robotaxi are expected to make its way into Full Self-Driving (Supervised), but it's better to treat them as detached for the foreseeable future.
Robotaxi in San Francisco is a different story though!

Tesla Full Self-Driving V14.3 remains in active development; now tentatively releasing next month.
The latest build of FSD, V14.2.2.5 released one month ago and V14.2 was first released in November 2025.
Elon Musk@elonmusk
@DBurkland @pbeisel It’s in testing right now. Wide release in a few weeks.

@RaoulGMI @aelluswamy Only drawback: you did t get to experience how awesome Cybertruck drives since FSD did all of your driving. 😀

Nice write up. I got it earlier this week…but my rear seat dog cover hooks over the front seat headrests. So I’m not sure I’ll notice any difference lol.
Even though the improvement may be subtle to none for some, the fact that Tesla included the hardware and the missed a software update to enable it for free is one of the things I love about Tesla. Any other legacy manufacturer would require people to purchase a new vehicle to get a new feature.

Here's my thoughts and observations with the new Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) in Cybertruck:
> For context: My tires are loud. Duratrac Wranglers (the OG 2024 Winter tire set)
> ANC requires a ~5 minutes calibration each drive. It will climb to 100% in 20% increments (20-40-60-80). If you put your truck in park and walk away, it requires a new calibration.
> ANC Calibration appears to require a smooth road, minimal wind noise, and quiet music to calibrate properly. If your music is too loud, it'll tell you.
> The difference ANC makes is useful but not life-changing. It is not the same as transparency->noise cancellation modes on AirPods. It is much more subtle. If you flipped it on/off without me knowing or expecting, I wouldn't notice right away.
> With my Duratracs, it cuts down on the "rubber grip" road noise. In a frequency range, that is a the mid-range "whir" and low-range bass.
> I notice the largest difference in noise reduction below 45mph.
> ANC does not cut down on motor whine or wind noise. Bigger impacts like ruts or potholes are not affected. The wind noise from my roof rack is not affected.
> ANC did not calibrate at all for me on a single ~10 minute highway drive with no music. Got stuck at 80%. It wasn't until I exited the highway that the calibration completed. My guess is my roof rack is too loud.
> The ANC helps a bit with music fidelity, which makes sense why it's under the audio menu. While I don't directly notice a difference in audible cabin noise, there is better fidelity that I notice in mid-range frequencies.
> There may be room for improvement. I very much hope they implement a slider of low-medium-overkill, because mine would be maxed. Or if you could focus the mics on a specific noise, like wind noise, motor whine, or an annoying passenger.
Overall, this is a great quality-of-life improvement with the Cybertruck platform, and will only get better over time.
I really appreciate Tesla's dedication to shipping new features, and proud of the team for getting ANC shipped for Cybertruck! (even the 2023 units!)

@TechOperator Almost the same boat as you. Bought my first EV in Sept 2020 (also a blue Model Y, but AWad with Induction wheels). Traded that in for Cybertruck in Dec 2024.
We also have a Model 3, so have the best of both types of vehicles. 🙂

@ScottPresler My opinion: he deserves to have his email publicly exposed.
Great you contacted the company and reported him.
English

@tesla_archive Yeah, that’s bullshit. Even IF it were on FSD, her responsibility is to supervise it and take over if needed. That said, I’ve NEVER had my Cybertruck or our 2024 Model 3 do anything remotely close to this.

🚨 $TSLA CYBERTRUCK ALLEGEDLY ON FSD NEARLY DRIVES HOUSTON MOM AND INFANT OFF BRIDGE 🇺🇸
The vehicle then crashed violently into an overpass barrier. The woman is suing Tesla for $1 million over multiple injuries.
However, no actual vehicle data has been released yet to confirm whether FSD was engaged at the time of the incident.

'TERRIFYING': Dashcam video shows the moment a Tesla Cybertruck, allegedly operating in self-driving mode, nearly sent a Houston mom and her infant off a bridge before violently crashing into an overpass barrier. The woman claims she suffered multiple injuries from the incident and is now suing the automaker for $1 million.

Cybertruck PCS failures are happening back to back. It happened to my first truck VIN 2K, and recently happened to my new Cybertruck VIN 12K.
I didn't say anything publicly at first because I didn't want to put Tesla in a bad light. But now I'm seeing someone post about a PCS failure almost daily, so I think it's best to say something about the issue.
To my knowledge, this is only happening to older trucks. Newer trucks should not need to worry about this.
Tesla has a new PCS revision ending in T2-G. If yours fails, double check with your service team that you're getting the latest version.
I hope this new revision finally resolves the problem.
The fun part? I got to drive a Cyberbeast while mine was being fixed, and that truck's performance is unmatched. It's incredibly fast.
My suggestion to Tesla: fix any truck that develops a PCS issue, whether in or out of warranty. At some point, the older PCS versions will fail.
Also, when your truck slows charging to 24A after a PCS failure is detected, it will only last a couple of days before completely failing. Schedule service as soon as you notice it, and Tesla will get you back up and running quickly. @elonmusk @wmorrill3 @cybertruck @Tesla @tesla_na

@castelliarnaud @LFrankllin @crockpics Was gonna say: wasn’t he addicted to heroin in the late 70s - 80s?
English

@cybrtrkguy @BeardedTesla Good to hear it’s a soft recall. Let’s hope they are consistently doing that across service centers.
What I’d really like to know is if the new PCS revision will be reliable (ie Tesla knows what’s causing the failures and they’ve truly fixed it).
English

@BeardedTesla I’ve heard it’s a soft recall, so if you bring your truck to service for something unrelated, they just add it to your service appt
Kinda like the camera housing cleaning.
There is a VIN cutoff but I can’t figure out what that is
