@Cantme7 @FinPhilosopher @Kevin_Root What sort of anarchy would that be where the customer can just take the prices on the menu (or the shelf, for that matter) and simply ADD them to know how much he's expected to pay, without calculating different taxes and surcharges in % (and in a specific order, too)?!

@BlitzAres @Kevin_Root > When you change it to a "service charge" all of those laws are no longer applicable. Yes, and in that case it becomes business income & laws relating to *that* apply, whether or not the business owner then distributes that money (or rather an equivalent sum) among employees.

@Kevin_Root The wording is intentional. There are very strict laws regarding how tips need to be handled among employees. When you change it to a "service charge" all of those laws are no longer applicable. Its very much on purpose. All pool restaurants are notorious in the industry.

@BlitzAres @Kevin_Root Calling it something else doesn't make tip laws no longer apply. I can see why some people, including presumably the business owner, would think that, but no accountant or, more to the point, auditor is gonna be fooled by linguistic trickery.

@BlitzAres @Kevin_Root More to the point, they call it a "service charge" but it's actually a tip. If it genuinely were a service charge it would go in the business income rather than be distributed to the personnel.

@CalebChamberla6 As a minor point: that supposed "warehouse" in the image is designed like a so-called box store rather than a warehouse, with one port for trucks and glass front and all – hell, even with shopping cart bays near the entrance.

@PatrickHeizer I'm always amused by people pretending "make a ten" makes any damn sense in the first place. It's also got fuck-all to see with any "sense of numbers". It's just a visual aid/trick that, at least in my neck of the woods, is only used to teach addition to 1st graders. Literally.

@msnofficial_on @crying_billa The problem with windows isn’t that it won’t sleep when you close it. It’s that it wakes up while it’s closed and asleep. Had a dell xps turn my backpack into an inferno one time while it was supposed to be sleeping, then of course you open it a few hours later and batt is dead.

@cursedconnector Fun fact: Two of the three holes in a properly wired outlet are perfectly safe to stick screwdrivers and paperclips into.

@Clayton798307 @Gourmish @EU_Propaganda Oh, but they will, by and large. They might buy a little less at a substantially higher price (because of the tariffs which, again, are an import tax), but that's a far cry from "they won't buy"... regardless of you delusional notion that they'll stop buying European altogether.

@Clayton798307 @Gourmish @EU_Propaganda > I’m sorry, where is this idea you believe these companies aren’t owned by Europe In your head, that's where. I never said or even implied they're not European-owned. If you can't read, that's again a "you" problem.

@Clayton798307 @Gourmish @EU_Propaganda And AGAIN for the stupid at the back: tariffs are paid by the importer (that means you; as in "you Americans", not necessarily you personally). They're an IMPORT TAX. It's really that simple.

@Clayton798307 @Gourmish @EU_Propaganda And AGAIN: it's YOU who are paying the tariffs, not the producers, whether Audi and BMW or anyone else. Tariffs are an IMPORT TAX. It's really not that hard.

@Clayton798307 @Gourmish @EU_Propaganda In spite of you being obsessed with cars, they aren't the sum total of anything, Your Moronic Highness. And never even fucking mind that highlighting how small the number of European cars sold in the US is actually argues against your point about Trump's tariffs being a big hit.

@Clayton798307 @Gourmish @EU_Propaganda What diversity of products?! On the market? There's "diversity of products" everywhere. Produced in the US, though? Hate to break it to you, but with a few notable exceptions like cars and construction equipment, most of that "diversity of products" is imported.

@krrypton @Gourmish @EU_Propaganda Our diversity of products here makes your big slice of 20% and Germany even higher is only a poultry sum of like 4% here. You’re a fucking idiot.
