@kodythewxguy Most influencers don’t have any real background in science or nutrition. They have a routine that works for them and tell people they should do the same. They have no clue what genetics would affect.

Quick neurospicy fitness thought… My feed has been absolutely flooded with health and fitness gurus lately, diet advice, workout splits, how much cardio you should be doing, how heavy you should be lifting… and somehow everyone has a different “right” answer. But you know what I almost never see anyone talk about? Genetics. I don’t hear much about people overcoming bad genetics to get the body they wanted, or how that impacted their journey. So it makes me wonder… Do influencers just not like talking about that part, or is it because some of them didn’t really have to overcome it in the first place? Genuine question.

Apparently there are people who shower at night instead of the morning. I genuinely want to understand this. Night shower people… explain yourselves

@pipsmommom @heavensbvnny Yes. Ridiculously, this is a fire able offense in many districts. Most lunch ladies say “if I get fired for feeding a kid, so be it”.

@heavensbvnny I got written up when I was a school lunch lady. When I bought a couple of kids a meal. I had to quit before I got fired because I wasn’t going to stop

Old lady in my neighbourhood is a lunch lady and today she told me: “I see what kids eat. More importantly, I see what they don’t eat. There’s a boy in grade 4… sweet kid. Always wears the same oversized hoodie. Every day for two weeks, he’d open his lunchbox, look inside, and then close it. He’d tell his friends, ‘I’m not hungry today.’ But I heard his stomach growl from the serving line. The box was empty. I didn’t want to embarrass him. Kids can be cruel. So, I started a ‘game.’ I walked by his table and said loudly, ‘Oh shoot…’ I made way too many grilled cheese sandwiches today. If nobody eats these, I have to throw them in the trash. Who can help me out?" His eyes lit up. He raised his hand slowly. I gave him two. And an apple. And a chocolate milk. "You're doing me a huge favor," I whispered. Now, every day, he comes to the counter to check if I made "mistakes." I make a mistake every single day. And I always will.”

@drantbradley My kids have text books. In 5th grade they have to read a book from a specific genre and write a 8-10 sentence book report every month. Chromebooks are used mostly in 5th to prepare for jr high. Our junior/senior high has text books and lots of handwritten note taking!

I lectured on a college campus this week and asked students about Chromebooks. Outside of math, 94% finished middle and high school on Chromebooks, with no textbooks or fiction books. College is the first time they’ve touched a paper book for class since elementary school.

@KathleenWinche3 We have a low cost vet that will do shots and spay and neuter. You just pay for the shots and no fee for an exam (because there isn’t one). We do that with our dog. She’s young and hasn’t had any issues. But paying a minimum of $174 for an exam and a shot is ridiculous

@jeffhunt Now the government is more involved in our school lunches, they HAVE to take certain items to make a reimbursable meal and parents are mad about waste. I work in a school kitchen and did not vote for free lunches.. I also pack my kids cold lunches.

In the socialist mind, which makes up a majority of voters in Colorado, the most compassionate thing you can do for someone is create a government program for them. See latest efforts to feed all school-aged kids in Colorado. This mindset is critical to understand because the most evil thing you can do is cut the program - not necessarily defraud the program. Fraud is tolerated because the overall "benefit" outweighs the evil of the fraud. You can never cancel the program or even cut it, that makes you an evil person. In fact, if your reporting results in cuts to the program, that makes you more evil than the fraud. See the progressive media treatment of Nick Shirley in Minneapolis. This is why, under Democratic leadership, you have massive social program expansion - in their mind they are being compassionate and just. It's a very narrow mindset. It can't comprehend charity, family formation, and individual responsibility, which produce better results, because those aren't important principles to a socialist. It's easier to use the power of government to tax, create an unaccountable program, and feel better about making the world a better place, even though it never really does. Take Colorado, for instance - it's more and more dependent on government for education, healthcare, housing, and food than at any point. Total Democratic control, which has brought bigger government, has not brought any additional human flourishing. In fact, people are fleeing the state. Why are people leaving a state that has more government programs than at any point in its history? Shouldn't it be a more compassionate, equitable state? So what's more evil? Taxing people against their will, creating programs rife with fraud, and making people perpetually more dependent on government or requiring people to take individual responsibility and rely upon the charity of others?

Selling low, owing big: @JeffcoSchoolsCo will unload Emory Elem for $4M (valued ≈$12M) so @LakewoodCOgov can flip it to a nonprofit — as its $65M deficit looms. Emory won't be the last. In Jeffco, taxpayers & community come last. Today @DenverGazette: denvergazette.com/2025/11/12/col… "In January 2024, Jeffco quietly created a 'Municipal Interest' carve-out giving cities and the county first dibs on closed schools — no competitive bidding, no community input. Everyone else gets cut out. ... As Jeffco's school board prepares to approve Emory’s sale at bargain pricing, one question looms: How many other properties are they doing this with?" #copolitics #corruption #k12
