@ArchaicLens The pre-contact ones would all be stone carved. Easy to spot for someone with a trained eye. Also, many of those look too weathered to have been kept in caves.

Buckle up folks this is a big one. I’m going to show you ancient artifacts from Easter Island that I guarantee you’ve never seen before, some of which which bear STRIKING resemblance to animal sculptures found at Gobekli Tepe. The backstory: When Thor Heyerdahl was excavating on Easter Island in 1955-1956 he was shown old family caves, passed down through generations, which contained countless original and ancient statues and sculptures. He was apparently gifted over a thousand of these statues by the Rapa Nui which he then brought back to Norway. They’ve been in the possession of the Kon Tiki museum in Oslo ever since, but none of them have ever been show to the public until 2014 for some reason I cannot fathom. I spent the day viewing the collection, and some of the sculptures were shockingly similar to Gobekli Tepe!! All the images below are originals from Easter Island. Tomorrow I’ll post a follow up thread comparing to Gobekli Tepe. 🧵 And of course if you like my work and want to support me consider purchasing a copy of my book on Amazon: a.co/d/0cIKCLHk

Drama at @SDCityCouncil : Audra Morgan ("Allegedly Audra" repeatedly demands that @JoeLaCavaD1 stop tonight's council meeting because only four members were on the dias, thus no quorum. LaCava says the fifth member in the back room quaifies as a quorum. Audra wouldn't stop. 1/2

@TheBananaTreePr @MsDeplorable2 @RichardPBailey_ @MayorToddGloria 100%. RealPage, residential leasing software, has a built in algorithm to keep rents artificially high on large, corporate, apartment complexes. Then, there are landlords like OB's Michael Mills who used 114 proxy licenses to convert long-term apartments into short-term rentals.

@markkersey It's neat how the city keeps bloating its administrative staff while slashing actual public services. I salute their commitment to doing a horrible job.

A key datapoint in the City budget that stands out is the increase in City Council staff. When I left City Hall in '20 my office had 10 full-time employees including me. The offices are now up to 16, with one at nearly 18. Same work. Meanwhile, library & rec center hrs are cut

Some departments fared better than others in the proposed #SanDiego FY 2027 budget. Departments providing community services (such as Parks and Recreation and Library) saw their staffing significantly reduced (with corresponding reductions in the level of service provided to residents), while the city leadership or minor reductions or even some gains. There are 160 positions in they city council alone, which is about as many the police departments in some medium sized cities. A single position was eliminated from the Office of the Mayor, and the City Council and City Attorney budgets were slightly increased. There were no cuts to the Performance and Analytics Department (whose mission is to 'solve complex problems and deliver results' despite the fact that city services continue to deteriorate). sandiego.gov/finance/draft

@jimmygandhi @LaPrensaSD Measure B (trash fees) was almost entirely sponsored by the San Diego Municipal Employees Association (MEA). Nearly all of the revenues went to cover new hires and salary & benefits increases for city employees. Taxpayers saw no improvements, just a money grab by public unions.

@LaPrensaSD The entire budget deficit can be reduced in the city employee head count was brought back to 2019 levels. x.com/jimmygandhi/st…
Jimmy Gandhi@jimmygandhi

@TimesofSanDiego If San Diego reduced it's employee levels to 2019 the entire budget deficit can be eliminated. Every gimmick and scheme the City Council is using to raise revenue is to pay for 1000s of government employees hired over the last few years.

🚨 UPDATE FROM DEPAUL UNIVERSITY: Due to relentless exposure and humiliation from American patriots on X, the Students for Justice in Palestine are now BANNED from operating on campus. Last week, the SJP screamed their brains out during a campus rally for “Palestine,” calling for the removal of Jews from Israel, demanding a violent revolution in America, and lobbing thinly veiled threats to Jewish students on campus. Students who participated are now under investigation and claim they’ve suffered discrimination. The fight continues, patriots. We are gaining ground. 🇺🇸 ✊🏻

@jonathanhatami The fact that overwhelming majority of Californians (including even Democrats) passed Proposition 36 yet Newsom has refused to fund it, just shows the self-righteous arrogance and contempt they have for the will of California voters.

Let’s make a few things very clear: -The overwhelming majority of CA & LA politicians supported defunding the police. This includes Harris. Newsom and Bonta played politics and said nothing while all of us suffered. -The overwhelming majority of CA & LA politicians supported & endorsed Gascon - that includes Harris, Newsom and Bonta. That meant they allowed fraud, theft and a whole litany of other crimes to go unchecked for years. -The overwhelming majority of CA & LA politicians supported Prop 47 which even reduced the charges for check fraud. This also includes Harris, Newsom and Bonta. They also failed to support or fund Prop 36. When the media has to force prosecutors and politicians to actually do their job & make our communities safer that isn’t proactive and it’s not something you have been doing for years. Am I glad you are actually dealing with fraud now? Yes. But just stop with the gaslighting, politics and lectures. Lying isn’t public safety. It’s just lying.

@marcuslemonis @RBReich @GavinNewsom Most regressive tax policy proposal in a long time. Instead of "billionaires paying their fair share", they'll be leaving the state and taking their businesses and jobs with them. They already pay the highest state capital gains and income taxes in the nation.

A “one-time” wealth tax? That’s the oldest trick in the book @RBReich temporary never stays temporary. Under @GavinNewsom , California has gone from surplus to massive deficit while already having some of the highest taxes in the country. So now the solution is… more taxes? For hard working Americans and businesses? Let’s be honest about what’s really happening: • Billions in spending with little accountability while not taking care of those in need • Businesses and high earners leaving the state, eliminating jobs for hardworking, deserving citizens • A shrinking tax base being asked to carry an even bigger load while spending increases You don’t fix bad spending by punishing the people who are still paying the bills all while an offensive gas tax on all residents And calling this “preserving democracy” is insulting. There is nothing democratic about forcing a smaller and smaller group of people to fund a system that refuses to fix itself and then charging everyone for the mismanagement. If this model worked, California would be thriving, not losing population, companies, and capital. This isn’t leadership. It’s insanity and projection . Fix the spending. Stop the excuses.
Robert Reich@RBReich

Billionaires are crying foul about California's proposed wealth tax. Don't fall for their fearmongering. A one-time, 5% tax on their excessive wealth is essential to funding what millions of Californians need — and to preserving our democracy.

Not to brag, but… 🔹In January, I warned that Khamenei will be killed 🔹One week before the war, I warned the US will attack Iran 🔹One week after the war, I said Iran will have very few missiles left by the end of March My next prediction: 🔹Ground invasion of Iranian islands and ports will happen in the next 10 days 🔹US troops will take over Tehran before the end of April

@MPG37685458 @Kanthan2030 You are correct, the US doesn't need to invade Tehran. Instead, it needs to arm the resistance and provide logistical air support. Military service is mandatory in Iran for nearly all men and there are many in the resistance who are trained. They know how to aim and shoot a gun.
