@FireEyes66 @shengokai I think it stands for "federated servers" that share data amongst each other. I don't know if their federated nature leads to potential privacy problems.

@shengokai Another problem is that they call it “the fediverse” and every single time I hear that word I think it’s a joke about it being full of government agents

Had an interaction on Mastodon which confirms my desire not to migrate over in any meaningful sense, especially as the demand that users conform to the "culture" of the Fediverse will be, in my view, inimical to the culturally coded ways that marginalized folks use social media.

It sounds like @SierraClubIPG believed these press releases without diving deeper. Like this:

But if you look closely at the actual Annexation Agreement and a topo map, it's clear that CU's plan won't actually prevent flooding. Are we giving up wetlands for nothing?

@SierraClubIPG You don't mention Ballot Question 2F -- to repeal the annexation of CU South -- with the goal of negotiating for less building area and more wetland/flood mitigation area at the new CU South campus. Does Sierra Club IPG have a position on 2F? (Per my previous tweet, thanks)
