After my beloved @RaleighBikes_UK Strada was stolen in Barnes (West London) by thieves with an angle grinder (!) I’ve decided to secure my latest ride (@boardmanbikes @Chris_Boardman ) with a lock from a brand I can trust (an ‘angle grinder resistant’ one, I’m told). And guess what…it’s not only made in the UK 🇬🇧, their HQ is here in Wales! 🏴 (Swansea to be precise). This is the X1, but the X3 is now also available which puts up even more of a fight. Thank you @Litelok 🙏🏼😘

The 20mph is honestly an abomination… I can’t explain how infuriating it is. From the car being like wtf you doing. To having to constantly watch the speed. The plebs who thought this up should have their licence taken away. As clearly they don’t know how to drive.

New parking scam at Newborough beach...
ANPR clocks you at point of entry, approx 1.5 miles from car park.
Payment machine is in car park.
Long queues to pay.
Difficult to get space.
Pay for parking.
ANPR clocks on way out again at exit.
Parking charge insufficient to cover.

The most nihilistic thing you can do on the road is ride a pedal bike. Every time I have the mispleasure being stuck behind one I imagine the rider thinking: "Yes... YES! I am the Ubermensch! You must conform to my will and drive slower. My choices shape YOUR reality!"

@let_part @ClarkeMicah They will if they have kids, and therefore might need 3 different types of seat in the back, plus a boot full of stuff. When the tech is (inevitably) mature enough to do away with the steering wheel I’d expect to see cars morph into a sort of mobile living room, facing seats etc

I have nothing against taxis except that, like hired cars, they are so colossally expensive. I seldom use them.I doubt that driverless cars, which have their problems even on the USA’s wide and predictable highways,would work very well on British roads.

Pedestrian E wasn’t looking after her own safety.
But driver C bore greater responsibility due to being in control of a ‘dangerous weapon’ and was more at fault as her actions had been much more causatively potent than of E

So, only you can answer the question for you. And you have said you are not afraid ( at least not there )

It's probably safer on the pavement - only flesh and blood to collide with - but I'm patently not afraid of the road.
Have the police agreed that I can use the pavement?

As part of the "climate lockdowns" plan, they're trying to nudge young people out of cars by increasing the costs and reducing the benefits of motoring. It's likely to be counterproductive in terms of saving lives.
