Dear @Glinner I am Jewish, the son of a Holocaust survivor who lost dozens of her family at Auschwitz where Inhave lectured on genocide prevention. My mother taught us that ‘Never Again’ is for all humanity. Opposing the policies of a self-proclaimed fascist government in Israel that is slaughtering innocents is in no way antisemitic. It is our duty & responsibility as human beings & as Jews!

Agree -i'm going to choose to love humanity and if somewhere down the road, I choose wrongly and pick someone that's intent on doing harm to me so be it. I'm not gonna live hating any group of people. Someone very important said, "how can you claim to love God who you don't see if you can't love your brother who you do see". Yes, there are radicals everywhere and as we've seen lately here in our own country, wicked people who abuse and do unspeakable things to children and the innocent.

@jakesilverlab My heart and prayers go out to you. I had to let my prized Shetland girl go unexpectedly and too early last November before Thanksgiving. I still not gotten over it.

💔She’s gone. We took this photo together just 2 hours ago. The hardest decision ever. We did not want that cancer to win, so instead of having her hang on for weeks & have it take her when it burst open, we gave her the best day ever & said goodbye while she could still somewhat enjoy it. I’m absolutely devastated and this is another huge loss. She joins her best friend forever Jake, at the rainbow bridge. We were told to choose a date (before the tumor ruptured) which at the latest would be weeks. We decided last night to say goodbye today, on her 14th birthday. What an honor to spend it with her. We spent the morning making a paw print for her memory, we went for a last walk (she tired after only a minute), we hung out with Jackson, had some birthday ice cream, she had a big chew bone & treats, and I cooked her fresh chicken and vegetables. I fed it to her out of my hand, so that I could be close to her on her final breakfast. When we got to the vet, we brought a McDonalds breakfast sandwich; which she had always wanted, and I also fed that to her. Our final words were how happy she made us, how blessed we were, how much we loved her & that she would meet her Jake at the bridge. We told her how good of a girl she was and that we would see her in heaven. Absolutely lost without her. Life will not be the same. She was like a daughter to me. I lost my only daughter to cancer (she was 30) and Abbey was like a daughter in a way. I work from home & we were together 24/7. There will never be another princess. Also, most often it's high school kids who are very young people or the elderly that are wait staff because they're not old enough to have a career yet or they're too old and their career has ended (many times its motherhood) and they never had the opportunity to do something else, so in that case -true, there are people in the middle who are wait staff, but when they are, it is usually in more high-end restaurants and their pay is not minimum wage because the management they expect at least a 15% tip for their servers and today I think it's even more than that-and I guess because I waited tables when I was young, I don't have a problem with it. I feel like that's part of the price of eating out. Some may see it as an extra based on service, but the actual server is looking at it as part of their wage not an extra. Also, the time it takes to serve a hamburger or something that's already made that they put out multiple times daily and serve that to the people eating, is much shorter than a fancy meal that takes a lot longer time so they're spending a much longer time typically with such a bigger bill

Listen up asshat. That server has to “tip out” on the sale. That means that whatever you food costs, the server has to pay the food runner, the bartender, and the buss boys. That can be as high as 4%. So when you and your shower cap queens don’t tip the server has to pay to wait on your piece of trash ass. I’d LOVE to hear what your “real skill” is.. Because putting up with people like you takes more than skill.

We went to a dinner as a group and had a $500 bill. We tipped $40. We were happy we can be able to give our server something, but her reaction was the opposite. She told us she assumed we're going to give her at least $120. When we asked for the manager, she said she was just joking, but she wasn't smiling at all. Idk, but is $40 tip enough for $500 bill? Oh gosh, yours looks just like my little guy that is eight years old now he was astray and his mom had them on my porch and I came home from vacation and he had three others were there. It's a long story two of them are no longer around sadly, and I went ahead and kept the little girl and this little boy he is blind, buthe is so precious. He wasn't always blind, and I just completely want to take care of him.

@Sofia_5070tg We adopted an 8 year old in November. She was described as very timid and not very affectionate. Give her time, make her feel safe, create a routine with her and always be gentle, she'll come to you when she's ready. We chose not to change her name because of her age.

Adopted a depressed cat Today my husband and I adopted this sweet older kitty (8 yo). We saw the shelter’s post about her - a surrender from someone who owned her since a kitten. She’s been there almost a month and has spent the entire time balled up in the corner with her eyes shut. Our senior kitty (16) passed away last summer and we decided it was time to get another “senior.” She got all her testing at the shelter and is in great health, except emotionally. We set her up in her own room and she is currently hiding under a dresser! I am hopeful for her Name ideas? And maybe calming treat suggestions? I’ve used feliway in the past and did not find it extremely effective. Thanks all!

@TheWinkingMinx Red heads have to take extra precautions with their skin. I think I remember her having a fondness for beach holidays. Tons of sun and cigarette smoking will absolutely destroy a red head complexion.

While I was out grocery shopping my landlord went into my apartment WITHOUT my permission and took these pictures. He said if I don’t clean up my apartment in the next 3 days that I’m going to be evicted. He claims that he entered under the guise of a “surprise inspection.” But what he doesn’t get is that if I knew he was coming I would have cleaned up and avoided this unjust eviction he’s threatening me with. Do I have any legal recourse or do I have to tidy up a bit in the next 3 days? I was supposed to go out of town this weekend and now I don’t know what to do.

What's crazy is that many of the moms who work and make close to minimum wage or thereabouts end up not really making anything after you pay for an extra car pay for childcare pay for clothes pay for food they don't realize they're not gaining anyway. Totally agree with you. However, there's many single moms out there that have no choice who are single not of their own accord .

Daycare is poison. One of the main reasons society is in the gutter. A man should make more than enough money to retire his wife so she can take care of their babies and toddlers at home. If you can't, don't have kids. Skill-issue brokies better not reproduce, anyway.
