@dcpublicschools It was really unnecessary to wait this long to make an announcement. Not cool.

The @washingtonpost took the extraordinary step to publish never before seen images from mass shootings. They are disturbing but, together with deeply personal accounts, offer the public a real look at what an AR-15 does. washingtonpost.com/nation/interac…

@CovidDc We had our 4th failure last night at CVS. I had the same thought. I don’t want to hear anyone wondering why vaccination rates among children is incredibly low this time.
English
This is not acceptable. How is this going to impact vaccination rates, especially among families for whom taking time off from work is a financial hardship?

Success finally tonight at CVS, where we first tried for kiddo but insurance was not accepted 10(?)ish days ago. 4th time we took him to an appointment + 3 that were canceled.

@CDCgov Hey @CDCgov people covered by @Carefirst have been trying to get vaccinated but @Carefirst still is not covering the vaccine. I was told today that it will be WEEKS before coverage kicks in.
English

CDC recommends that everyone ages 6 months & up get the updated #COVID19 #vaccine to protect against serious illness.
This new vaccine is a better match to protect against the most common variants circulating now.

@CareFirst @EdwardGarnett @cvspharmacy @US_FDA @HHSGov @CDCgov @Carefirst I was just told by a representative that you’re anticipating it will take two more weeks to get COVID vaccine coverage. Seriously? @CDCgov @HHSGov @USOPM
English
@EdwardGarnett @cvspharmacy @US_FDA @HHSGov @CDCgov Any member or provider who was informed that the vaccination is not covered should contact CareFirst directly at serviceresolution@carefirst.com.

@Thom4sLyles @HelenHeinrich1 @Alexander_Tin @G_Commish @HHSGov @pharmacists @AnthemBCBS @CareFirst I called today and was told *two weeks* - ridiculous.
English

@HelenHeinrich1 @Alexander_Tin @G_Commish @HHSGov @pharmacists @AnthemBCBS @CareFirst Seven phone calls later, it sounds like they’re working to resolve this so patients can get vaccines at pharmacies. Keep checking.
English
At recent @HHSGov meeting
@pharmacists' Mitchel Rotholz blamed insurers for not updated their systems in time, leading to early hiccups in coverage of updated COVID vaccines
"that creates a barrier when patients are ready to get vaccinated"

@CareFirst @EdwardGarnett @cvspharmacy @US_FDA @HHSGov @CDCgov @Carefirst I was informed that the vaccine was not covered BY YOUR OWN REPRESENTATIVE when I called from a CVS pharmacy after the pharmacist was also informed by @Carefirst that it was not covered. Get your story straight.
English

@FenitN I tried to get my COVID vaccine at CVS on Wednesday. I called @Carefirst and the
representative told me that they were still “evaluating” coverage and had no timeline for a decision.
English

@CareFirst it is absolutely ridiculous that you have not authorized coverage for the new COVID booster. You knew this was coming! I was just told by a representative that you have NO TIMELINE for approval. What is wrong with you???

@DCDGS Patrons, staff and the Council’s office have been reaching out to you trying to get this fixed for almost two weeks. Please provide an estimate on when this will be resolved as programming is being cancelled due to dangerously cold water temperatures. @charlesallen
