My coworker quit today without putting in his two week notice. Everyone in the office is annoyed that he did that, but I can’t blame him. The last person who put their two weeks notice in was let go that day. Why should an employee put in a two week notice when employers fire without notice?

Have a friend who has a Section 8 tenant who stopped paying her portion of the rent. Then she moved to another unit, in someone else's property, so HUD stopped paying my friend. So he leaves a Belief of Abandonment notice on her door. Get this. A few days later, she writes back: "I have not abandoned my unit." So she's just holding on to an empty unit for fun. She has a new apartment! So he reached out to her S8 supervisor: "Can you help? Maybe put pressure on her to just move out. Can you threaten to revoke her voucher?" The response they basically gave him: "Put pressure on this innocent lady? For simply not paying rent and not giving you back the keys to an empty unit? Sir, please, move along. This is a Wendy's." He's out close to $20,000 in legal fees and lost rent at this point. He'll get the unit back eventually, but what the hell is going on here?

@BarryRoland19 Moved without notice?? Thats not that works..... Verify the lease termination with the PHA, talk to a lawyer and seek payment for all missed rent plus 30 day or whatever the time frame is for notice.
