But life and politics, as Angela knows all too well, demand tough choices and so it was with a heavy heart on 9th July 2025 that Angela voted for the Universal Credit/PIP cuts that will result in further hardship for people who are disabled and vulnerable. Angela also voted to scrap the #WinterFuelPayment to vulnerable pensioners 🥶 and voted to retain the two child benefit cap which ‘significantly contributes to child poverty’ in the UK. @UKLabour @AngelaRayner

In case you missed it. Earlier today, a 29-year-old man risked his life to tackle a knife-wielding attacker in Leicester Square. I can't help but feel he would have got more media coverage had his name not been Abdullah. It doesn't suit the MSM narrative!

Said this before and I’ll say it again. If pensioners above a certain income are no longer entitled to winter fuel allowance, then MPs earning over £90k should no longer get energy expenses. Also MPs should no longer get food allowance when they’re unwilling to give free school meals to kids from lowest income households. Why are you entitled to expenses but the people who NEED it most are not?
