Differences in culture. I grew up in a little town in the Midwest here in America. My family's background is in factory work, trades, and farming.
My parents likely would have shared the news. My cousins' parents will likely would not have.
Regardless, do you defend the statements of the other poster, or are you just stating a fact about the triviality of building a computer?

There are some truly awful people on this app.
This kid built a computer. Easy to do these days? Yes.
Indicative of a 180 IQ? Nope (but the screenshot doesn't support that notion anyways).
Worth celebrating? Absolutely. If a teenager in my family built something they were proud of, which required some degree of technical aptitude, I would absolutely share it with pride.
But go on, sit back and knock down a family rejoicing in excellence. He could be on the street doing shit and you'd be posting about that, too. It seems like the one feature you're choosing to focus on here is that he's black.
It is people like you who make people like them resentful.
You could easily have seen the top post and said to yourself "that's cool...that kid looks put together and interested in striving," but instead you decided to elevate him, just to tear down him and everyone who cares about him.

I guarantee you, had I built a computer from scratch at age 15, my parents would have been sharing that news with everyone they talked to.
It is much more commonplace now, but still outside the norm for the vast majority of people. The Aunt being excited to share it about her 15 year old nephew is a sign of love and caring, not glorification of violence.
Exceptional? Not inherently. But there's no need to cut the kid, or the community supporting him, down. Rather, we should be encouraging him to pursue further excellence.
That could be his first step into a promising career.
